Ginn is not so bad he just is not a number one and should be a number 2 or slot. Ginn has good hands but has not even had any good long balls thrown to him. Hagan needs to be given a chance to make some plays. How can you be a good receiver if the ball is never thrown to you. I know the receivers have to get open and that has been a problem but this is the NFL. I think Pennington has done a great job at managing the offense but he needs to hit someone, anyone who is beating their man and start throwing the ball more than 15 yards. The real problem is that the Dolphans have had no consistancy in Quarterback play until now and offensive coordinators are always changing. How can you be a good reciever if the scheme calls for constant short passes and your routs are not those. We are a dink and dunk offensive team now with focas on the running game. Anyway, Chad need to stop cheking down to the easy reciever to hit and start completing some passes to recievers down field. The play calling on third down has sucked and so was the pass protection on third down on Sunday. Why are other teams able to run a slant on third down and complete the pass for a first down to their best hands guy. why do the Dolphins never seem to have a easy play like that. Anyway, someone needs to step up and make some plays on the receiving core. IMO i still feel our receivers are better than people think. They just need to be used in the offense more and the coaching scheme needs to include more intermediate routs so they can be successful. Go Fins alway no matter what.

I disagree and feel we have one of the worst receiving corps in the league but I respect your well thought out opinion. i do agree that somebody has to step up although you cant blame Camirillo he is in way abovce his head.

The WRs are not spectacular, but their also not getting a chance to show they can play.
I agree with what you're saying.

Camirillo has been great but he is a slot receiver and has played in the wrong spot. Hagan need to just be used the right way and so does Ginn. Ginn need to be our returner. Bess is better as #3 or 4. Great hands on Bess.

its hard to be a good receiver if you never get the ball. Look at the stats on NFl.com and you will see how many times the receivers have been thrown to. Not a whole lot.

Camarillo is a solid #3. We need a 1 real bad. I think Ginn could be a #2, but he needs one more year. It takes 3 for a WR to break out.

Im pretty damn sure we want to throw to them but when they are not open or get extar yards you have to go elsewhere.

We really need a wideout. We're solid in the trenches on both sides of the ball and I like our linebacker corps alright. We need to start focusing our draft picks on playmakers on the outside on offense and in the defensive secondary.

wanting and doing are different and yes we need a real #1 but Chad is not hitting the open receiver down field and usually throws to who ever is open whithin 10 yards. Yes he is not turning ball over but he also is not getting any long passes except for Sunday trick play.

Interesting. Ted Ginn so far this season has only been targeted 24 times (rank 60th).

If I recall correctly the way receivers have been beating us has been run after the catch. Have you seen other teams when they throw the wr screen and the receiver breaks tackle and gets yards, we dont have someone to do that. Even little Coles does it constantly on the Jets. I agree Penny may need to throw it down the field a little more but can a receiver please break a tackle and get some yards after the catch, Cam has done it a couple times, but Teddy just cant seem to break a tackle.

Problem is, they dont get open downfield.

The other problem is that they are undersized. A guy that is 6'3" can get away with not getting open because he can use his size to make a play on a ball thrown in traffic.

Guys under 6' cant do that very well. They need to use their speed to beat their man and find seams in the D.

Our receivers cant get open and frankly, I dont blame anyone but them for their lack of productivity.

Penny has thrown it downfield, only to our TEs who actually 1) get open and 2) have the size to make a play on a ball thrown in traffic.

If the problem was our QB or playcalling why are the TEs kicking *** for us?

If we get a legit #1 and #2 receiver we might have one of deepest corps in the league. Ginn may not be great but he is the best 5th receiver in the league.

I have seen no evidence that they don't get open downfield. The only things I've heard from people who have gone to the games is that they have been open down field.

our receiving corps makes it so we have to use the wildcat and these other trick plays. the fact they can't get seperation (initially, since penny can't throw long) forces us to use distraction to succeed.
