Receivers must be feared for our team to win. Something is wrong with Chambers, he is not the amazing hands right now and we've seen this type of play from him after receiving a real tough hit. Boston is not being used much for whatever reason right now, booker has been producing but not enough. Our success depends on these recievers attaching the ball and demanding respect. A better offensive line, a running game, effective screen passes and short passing success will begin to show up. None of our receivers have any excuse for the poor overall play at the position the first two games. Make defenses fear you dudes!!!!

Actually Boston is being used. He's just not getting open, and when he gets thrown the ball, he has at least one drop, one instance where his lacsidaisical refusal to fight for the ball in the air nearly caused an interception, and one fumble.

I agree that you want your WRs to be feared, but ours will not be feared until two things change...

1) Our OL significantly improves. Right now, Linehan can't run 3/4 WR sets because he has to leave a FB, RB and/or TE in to block. There are no holes for Brown/Morris/Minor so the Jests rushed only 3 or 4 most of the game and left everyone else in coverage...therefore opportunities for the WRs just haven't been there.

2) Our QB needs to be more accurate. The WRs have not been able to catch ANY balls in stride. None... Our only passing success has been short dumps and slants save for a GREAT catch by Booker last week and one long pass to him the previous week... Gus has been off target and making the WRs (and TEs) have to work for the receptions instead of making the passes catchable. Behind, too long, overthrown, underthrown, in the general area of are terms that announcers have been using to describe most of Gus' passing attempts. This has been true when he has had time and when he has been pressured. Also, he has overthrown nearly every ball he attempted to throw on the run (something AJ and Fiedler could do well).

So, before we call our recievers out, lets look at the REAL issues and call out the OL and QB....

Whoa! You are just downright anti-Boston. Did he do something to you in a past life. He is our third string receiver for a reason.
