Now that all but one regular season game has finished I work out that Miami's 2nd round draft pick for Jason Taylor will work out around the 15th or 16th slot. Not bad for a player whose team aint in the playoffs!

Jason Taylor, the gift that keeps on giving!

Its about time he was worth something to us. Good thing he wasnt on the field for us today to fold up in the 4th qtr like he always did in big games.

Come on, the guy was Def MVp a couple years ago. But the draft slot is nice!

Well if you have someone who knows how to use a draft pick then maybe that OK but really a 2nd round pick with a 6th rounder was robbery by the Skins. IMO. The only thing that really makes it work is that Jason Taylow was probably not going to play for the phins, Jasons age a bit and we have Ireland as a GM who drafts pretty well. But trading proven vets for unproven draft picks is really ahuge gamble. Ireland is the difference maker other than that draft pick trade like this are way overated. Now trading down in the draft is the way to go. IMO

I was thinking the same after seeing they lost. What a deal that turned out to be for us. WOW!

Should get a quality player somewhere in the mid 2nd round. After the year Taylor had with Washington, it has turned out to be a pretty good deal.

I will do my calculations tomorrow and I will post the order tomorrow in the draft forum. I have had a running thread that shows the first round draft order. The playoffs will affect what the final order will be.

That list is from Dec 23rd... a whole weeks worth of games have been played since then...

You are right, but very little has changed. The Washington pick is currently in a 3-way tie for 13th-15th( Wash, NO and Hou). I doubt the SOS will change enough in 1 week to change differences( .481,492 and 515)

If San Diego wins, it will be a 4 way tie for 12-15.(Den .45, WAsh .48 , NO.49 and Hou .52). With SOS rotation, Denver picks 12th in the 1st rnd, Wash picks 12th in the 2nd round and so on.We would have the 44th pick.

If Denver wins, it remains the 3 way tie and Wash picks 13th in the 1st round, 15th in the 2nd round. We would have the 47th pick

Bottom line, we pick 12-15th in the second round( 44-47). GBN will have a revised list by tomorrow.

I could see us picking up Larry English in that slot. OR maybe a Center.

I would like Victor Harris, CB, out of Va Tech with that pick....he is a good d-back, great hands, and is very good at returning punts and kickoffs.
