For real they shouldchange the team's name,im pretty sure someone wanted this to take place.

Redskins are the indians and its offensive, its like having a team called the N-word or the black or dark skins its pretty offensive aint it.

Or the Crackers or the frost skins, see its pretty offensive to have redskins as a name.

Do you agree the redskins should change their name?


(And this is meant to change their name for the racial purpose,not cause you dont like the team name)
 
personally i feel like trying to get rid of names like the Seminoles, Indians, etc. is stupid and i have more indian in me than anything else.

but redskins is offensive imo. i have no clue how they have gotten away with it for so long.
 
hell no for changing it.

its been around for 73 years on the franchise that is worth the most money in the world. no way they change it. the reason why the owner changed the name from braves to redskins was to honor their coach cause his mother was a Souix.

Who cares its offensive to most of them,everybody is equal so she shouldnt have been praised that much and hurt other people feelings.

then the team should be called whatever her name was, just like the fast food chain wendy's , you dont see it called the crackerskin.

Also its been 73 years but we havent really looked into it as people are now.

Well thats what it is now, people(americans)are realizing that that name is almost if not a racial slur.

I bet the indians knew this that it was offensive for 73 years and we havent cared how they feel about it we just ignore how they feel about it, i will approve anything the indians do to get the team name changed its just offensive,period.

Its like saying the BlackSkins have been around 73 years dont change it,no were using their race as a business and were hurting their feelings,just change the name.

There was actually a professional minor league team called the Atlanta Crackers.

Atlanta's Negro League team at the time was called the Atlanta Black Crackers.

Is there now? you know culture is alot different now right.

And you just admitted to black crackers which doesnt mean white people,it probably meant something, im talking bout the image you use for the name.

I bet there is no problem with crackers team if it had little cookies logo on the helmet, but take it for this will you like to have a white guy on it?
Or the blackskins have a black guy as the logo,im pretty sure it will cause riots from both sides,indians are people to you know.

yup, he's right. And I agree there is no reason to change it, it isn't meant as a racist term...at least not for the football team.
