well we already have a QB and a RB although we do need offesive line help...Defense is the most important need for this team by far. Remember we were dead last in the league in rushing defense last year and if we do not shore the up DL with good young talent look for us to possibly be close to last again in 08.
If we go offense, it doesnt matter if we sign the BEST offensive FA's, draft the BEST offensive draft prospect, and have the BEST offensive genius as a coach, if teams continue to run on us like they did last year, that great offense we have will be sitting on the sidelines for the majority of games, while our opponents have 10 play, 8 minute drives against us.

Yea we have our QB and RB in Beck and Brown, we need some receivers as well, but defense needs the most work.

i had made a thread somewhat similar to this. we need to quit adressing "one" side of the ball. we need work on both sides as epually. the jimmy johnson years brought us madison,surtain,jt,zt..the wanny yrs..well the wanny yrs just brought us greif but mostly defense the saban yrs brought us more defense and the cam yr brought us the majority of offense in ginn,satele,beck,maui,mormino..
what i hope to see this year is a very balanced draft and start raising our own stars and big name guys like we did in the past but more spread out. lets build a championship team rather either a great defense with no offensive prowness or a top offense with a defense that can't stop spam.

I'd say while both need work I think both are equally important. That being said, odds are we are going to struggle next year and probably not win too many games. So I would like to see us address offense first, so that the games are at least somewhat enjoyable. I'd rather see us lose games 24-31 than 17 - 3. Nothing worse than watching a great defensive effort but still lose the game because of a putred offense IMO.

Both sides.....we have clear needs on offense and defense. I think we need to be able to score more points, so if we can bring in a FA Wide Receiver who gives us a deep threat lets do it. After adding a few weapons on offense, we need to have guys who can shore up the middle, and also some d-backs who can shut down opposing receivers.

i say we go for defensive help. Think about it the Ravens team that won the Super Bowl had to some peoples' arguments that they were ONE of the best defenses in the history of the league and their offense was horrible. Trent freakin Dilfer was their QB and they basically had no recivers to help him. the only offensive weapons that they had were Jamal Lewis and Shannon Sharpe. So i say the most important part aspect of the game is on the defensive side of the ball. If you stop teams from scoring you always have a chance to win.
Best Player in the draft must be choosen in the number one over all pick.
But the Draft needs to Revolve around our defense. The downfall has arrived faster than I'd have thought. from the 4th ranked to the toilet of the league against the run. Think about it this way; How many games would we have won last season if the defense had been even a little bit better. If you remember we were averaging over 20 points a game in those first 6-7 games. But every time it got to the Second quarter the defense ran out of steam and let the other team litterally run to the win. After that we just started experiencing Injuries upon injuries that all but threw away our chance of winning a game until Baltimore. Once Ronnie comes back, if we can even make our defense a little better that would add at least 4-5 more wins.
Defense wins championships as the Giants proved to an audience of over a billion world wide.

This is the best offseason to fix the defense. There are no real offensive STARS available.
However, everywhere you look ther are YOUNG star players on defense in FA. Trufant/Samuels/Wilson/Briggs/Odom/Smith etc.....
On offense it's Wahle/Faneca and Starks and other then starks none of them are you.
