Saints running back Reggie Bush is looking to have a season even with that of Hornets' point guard Chris Paul in terms of MVP consideration, according to the Advocate.

"Now I’ve got to come and have an equal or better year," Bush said. "I’ve got to get the crowd chanting MVP."

Whether or not Bush can achieve that, it's clear that he's looking forward to having a breakout season.

meh....

what's he gonna say? My boy chris Paul is superior to me and I have next to no chance to equal the success he's had this year?

Of course he's gonna set his sights there....but good luck with that Reggie.

Most overrated player in the league. Great athlete, above average receiver, average runningback.

Reggie Bush was so dominating in college; I know there's a difference between college and pro sports, but god, he needs to figure it out because he definitely isn't lacking talent.

we are getting close to equal value in Lorenzo Booker.

Reggie will never be an elite back in the NFL until he can run inside the tackles.

His size is not an excuse either. He is 6ft and weights 203 lbs. Look at someone like Warrick Dunn who is 5.9 and 180. Yet in his prime was one of the best backs in the league.

Reggies problem is mental because he has the ability

i think that reggie can still be an MVP type RB, look at the ex-fast willie parker, he was a guy who was too small to be a full time runningback, his only chance was to get outside, he has learned how to run in pitt and is now a premere back, same thing with ronnie and lawence maroney, stop trying to live up to the hype and score a TD every run and just get up in your hole and make it happen. stop dancing and run that is what reggie has to do, hes got a line hes got a respectable passing game, its all on him now.

Sorry Reggie...Its never going to happen. You were great in college but this is the bigs now and you're not cut out to be a running back. He's very overrated and like D Fan06 said, we're already getting close to Bush's value with Lo Book. Reggie needs to switch to a WR imo.

He's a solid back, just not a great back. Certainly not a feature back, a one man show. With McCallister back taking the load off Reggie Bush will be fine, he'll catch a lot of passes, provide play making ability on the football field. Is he over rated because of his college days? Yes. But he's by no means a bad football player.
