I know Saban has said that Howard has had confidence problems, do u think that his pick, even though it was a cake pick, will build his confidence enough for him to be decent?

I thought he had a good game. At one time this guy was a good starting CB in the NFL.

He doesn't have any speed or moves. He basically has no room for error. He reminds me of a guy like Kirk Reuter. He can overachieve all he wants, but his downtimes will look extremely horrible because he doesn't have any physical tools to overcome them at a position like CB.

he had an amazing year with the panthers, and he came here and wasnt promising mabey it will change with his game he had today

I was happy to see him with a smile on his face near the end of the game. Like many have said in this THREAD this game and performance in the game can't hurt his confidence.

oh god. that's a scary, but an appropriate analogy. i've watched reuter suck it up for so long now that i thought he would never go away. i was ecstatic when the giants finally cut the cord. i could never understand why the found him so useful just b/c he would get you 5-6 innings every time out. there are a ton of guys that could give up 4-5 runs over 6 ininnings everytime out. at least a young guy might improve.

but for all his bad points, at least kurt had the technique and instincts. reggie lacks those as well as the physical tools. i actually thought he was pretty good when he came here, but at this stage he's painful to watch. who knows, maybe the instincts will come nack w/ confidence.

Add to his lack of speed and moves his being vastly undersized and no matter how hard he tries, he has serious limits. The article over the weekend that suggested he was the worst value mistake of the Wannstadt/Speilman era isn't far off.

Glad he had a good game though, he seems to be a good guy, just very limited and playing in a system that does not fit his gifts.

Well -

We didn't miss Sam Madison today as Reggie Howard stepped up.

This was the best game Howard has had since becoming a Dolphin.

Let's hope he continues to not let us miss Madison.
