Linebacker Reggie Torbor doesn't care about his new team's miserable recent past. He isn't concerned about Miami's depressing 1-15 record last season. Or a depleted roster that still needs plenty of work.
As it turns out, Torber isn't alone. Not at all.
Because when the first day of free agency ended Friday, the Dolphins had agreed to terms of contracts with a whopping seven free agents, while also trading for Cowboys nose tackle Jason Ferguson. No other team in the NFL was more active.
''It's one thing to go to the New England Patriots, where they always win,'' Torbor told The Miami Herald. ``But to be able to help build something with a 1-15 team and turn it into a championship team, now that would be special.''

sounds like hes a great guy and really focused on turning things around in miami:kick:imo a great addition

So you mean he didn't come because we offered him most money?

I truly wish we had signed Kawika Mitchell a very versatile LB that signed a pretty reasonable contract for his production.

he did also come because of the money:Dbut this comments show me that he has a great attitude and isn't just focused on the money...
it sounds like if the pats offered him the same or a bit more money than we did he still would have gone to the fins..

nice positive attitude...good to see

I really think this is an under the radar signing. I think we got someone who actually caught in a tough situation. He was a player that had to take a back seat due to the Giants trying to force Kiwanuka(sp) to be a LB. I think he appreciates the fact that he really has a shot to start on this team and he's probably happy also to be back with teamate Ronnie Brown.

isnt kawika mitchell more of a 4-3 guy?

He has played both. No more of a 4-3 guy than Torber and has been a much more productive player than Torbor and has similar size. Has shown he can play outside and inside. Mitchell looked very good in the super bowl.
