This year he costs us the same amount whether we cut him, or keep him. Thats why he is still here.

Saban requested howard to re-structure but howard refused.

I smell cap casualty next year.

Balls, you've got a better chance at lining up as a corner for the Phins next year than Howard does.

maybe this year. otherwise, that's messed up because his bonus was only 4.5 million for 5 years if i remember correctly. it would have to be the most screwed up contract in history if we get "0" cap relief from releasing him next season.

how and why did we give this guy such a lucrative contract? HE SUCKS!!

Where were you 2 years ago when he signed the deal

:smackhead

Also the only thing we get from Reggie Howard is dead cap.

wow man , like , why dont we do find rick and kick his butt for this blunder ? or better yet we should garnish rick's paycheck for compensation . Bonehead moves like this deserve a slap accross the head with a 2x4 board .

poster edit : i meant to say even though rick works at espn we should still garnish his paycheck for this blunder deserves a payback in kind.

Yeah, I knew this year we wouldn't save anything by cutting him. But next year, I'm pretty sure it's a completly different story. Think about it. Ronnie Brown has the highest amount of guaranteed money on his contract and it's around 18 mil or something. No way Reggie Howard has anywhere near that amount of guaranteed money. If we cut next year, we will save money.
