I know you all know this, but it bares repeating. We are all so concerned, and in some instances with good reason about our secondary. After watching the game I saw some good and some bad in our coverage. Alot of it had to so with missed assignments but I think the biggest problem was the QB's getting too much time and way too many hreat passing lanes to throw through. I suspect that when the regular season starts we will see something ALOT different. We, right now are just showing our basic packages with a few rinckles thrown in. No surprises, no crazy stunts or blitzes that we have been hearing about in practice, no crazy formations and dropping line-backers...yet...Our defense will be predicated on confusing the QB and as importantly confusing the offesive lines pass and run protection schemes...this is where process is more important than the current product on the field. We all are constantly hearing and reading about the massive and complex playbook and ingenious defensive schemeing...have any of us seen it? No, why? Because, If you look for patterns in our coaches behavior from the press box to the playing field, he is very consistant! He tells you know more than he thinks you NEED to know and he is NEVER going to tip his hand on any team related issue. The same is happening on the field...Saban will play some basic formations that all the other formations and schemes are based upon. He will make sure all the guys are in the right position to make the read or the play - it is only after that, that he will show a few complex schemes to the opposition (game 4 and alittle of 5) in the pre-season. Saban has shown us that he will give nothing free to the opposition and that, my friends, is why I believe we need to sit back, relax and enjoy one of the most exciting pre-seasons in years...when was the last time you did not know what our team was going to do in any given situation?

I really think it is funny that we worry so much, because we only have to decide how we feel about certain things and how we are going to debate these beliefs with other fans. The coaching staff makes all the decisions without consulting us, unfortunately.

God I'm sick of threads with the words "relax" and "chill" and whatnot in the title.

For cryin out loud who says we're not relaxed or chilled out. Ya'll need to "relax" with the "relax" threads. I vote that no thread title should be allowed to be made on FinHeaven with the title "relax" or "chill out" in it.

I would also like to add Wansteadt, Spielman and Fiedler to that list.

Then don't read those "offending" threads...

Actually... it was a pretty good post.

What if the title was something like "Wannsadt spotted in gay bar with Jay Fiedler." I would find that amusing.

CK, I think you ahould look into yoga or some other "relaxing" techniques. I am a little concerned that you got so worked up, VERY un-relaxed behavior, you really need to relax on the "relax" bashing....relaxation is essential to good off-season health! So, a word of advice ...

Well, the very thread title in the main forums is offensive to me, not the post itself. "Relax" and "Chill out" are commands. So you've got people telling us all what to do, insinuating that I and other posters are hysterical or something when nothing could be further from the truth.

Dancing to "Relax", of course.

Awwwww, little bit PC are you?

I vote that no thread response should be allowed to be made on FinHeaven with the word "whatnot" or "Ya'll" in it.

Y'all make a good point and whatnot there. Ooops.

Exactly... we could all point out "pet-peeves" with the way people post...

This is a message board, and unless the title/post violates TOS.... it's acceptable.
