As bad as we have played....

We can all sit here and say what our record COULD be, or SHOULD be, but fact is, every team in the league, or at any level, can say that. Almost Every team's hardcore fans can make a case that they should be 2 or 3 games better off than they currently are, look at the chargers.

But fact is, we are 3-5 right now. But, look at it like this....we are 3-5, still ahead of the Bills and Jets. The Colts should (finally) take care of the Pats tommorow night. After this happens, and I fully anticipate that it will, that will make next week's home game against the patriots for the divisional lead.

So relax. This Sunday's game is a must win, yes. But it is a game that is especially winable at home, against a Patriots team that has had its struggles as well. So watch monday night football tommorow night, rhoot for the Colts like they are the phins (and dont worry about them going undefeated, look at their second half schedule, they have no chance)......and get ready for the biggest game of the season next week, the game that will put us into FIRST PLACE.

I can't believe there are fans that think this team can contend for the division title. It's just not possible with this team. The Patriots will undoubtedly win the title. All I want to see the rest of the season is improvement. I don't want to see Gus lose games anymore. I don't want to see Linehan butcher the offensive play calling anymore. I don't want to see anymore stupid reverses to Chambers when the entire defensive line has already busted through. I don't want to see the defense overpursue everytime a running back cuts back against the grain. I don't want to see the same receiver get open over and over and over again. I don't want to see as many stupid costly penalties. I don't want to see the defense give up points on the opening drive of the game and the 2nd half (just once, please!). I just want to see this team get better. I want to be hopeful for the future with the likes of Ronnie & Ricky and McMichael and Chambers and Carey and Crowder and Daniels.

But to think this team is going to the playoffs this year is absolutely absurd.

Agreed. Gus has missed about 6-8 touchdowns this year because he could not hit an open receiver. I'm not saying that we have a better QB...but if you hit those plays, we may be 6-2 or 5-3...much different. Also, our defense does not give up a lot of points...but they stay on the field toooooo much. I HATE 3rd downs, because most teams convert easily on us.

I believe we can, and will contend for the division title. My current prediction has the Dolphins and Patriots both at 9-7, but the Patriots winning the division because of a better division record (4-2 vs. 3-3).

Keep in mind that I am 7-1 this year in predicting the outcomes of Dolphin games. I'm on fy-uh baby.

I have the Dolphins beating crappy opponents like the Browns, Titans, Raiders, Bills, and Jets...and us splitting our games with the Pats. We'll probably lose to San Diego, unless something drastic happens to their team between now and then (injury). The most questionable of my predicted victories is the Raiders in Oakland...because cross-country trips do bad things to teams.

I would seriously like to know what good would winning the division do, even if it was possible to achieve. The Dolphins are unable to win games outright against top teams...can you imagine what Manning would do to the Dolphins in Indy? How about playing the steelers in cold weather? Even if under the strangest luck....and all the stars fall in to place....Gus and Linehan would screw it up....and thats the fact...Better to eat our pride one more year....get some more quality talent in the draft and free agency....and then it's time to rumble. We have had enough average, just good enough teams just to pass the season's away....to miss out on the chances to acquire the top players in the draft....enough is enough.

Winning the division is always good. Life doesn't start and end with Super Bowl titles.

Agreed. Our defense is getting old and our offense is starting to come around. Any time you can fin the division and get playoff experience, the better!
