Yeah....trade him away while he still had some value they said.

Thankfully those people aren't in a decision making position with this team. Some people's value is invaluable. Wake is one of those players.

Obviously keeping Cam is a good move, he is a tremendous player and seems to be a great person. But, starting a thread like this is rather pointless.

I'm sure you've been 100% right on every aspect of every dolphins decision ever made, right? :rolleyes2:

Wasn't that like one guy on here?

or i know a few would trade him to show mercy, like "go! be with a winning team you deserve it!"

It was one guy with a very, very small percentage of people who agreed with him.

Moving on.

No, I remember one guy stupidly suggesting it. Most of us were laughing at the idea.

I remember people saying that Cam deserved to be in the playoffs at least once in his career, and since the Dolphins were 1-4 and looking absolutely lost, some people felt he deserved to be traded to a contender. He's been such a class act that I'm not sure I would disagree with that reasoning. Guy should be in the playoffs before his career ends.

Obviously the fact there's a possibility he can be in the playoffs with us instead of another team is wonderful. And I hope it happens for him. He deserves it more than anyone else in this league.

So we barely escaped CLE in OT and then got waxed by the Bengals and Titans dropping us to 1-4 at that point trading Wake was pretty logical (and merciful). Don't tell me you thought we were going on a playoff run.

I was one of a handful who made a trade cam wake post. I wasn't really thinking what's best for the dolphins but what's best for wake. I've watched Wake play in the Cfl and loved it when miami signed him. I feel wake deserves a chance at playoffs and a ring something that no one thought would happen this season when we were 1-4. Now in retrospective I'm glad we didn't trade him and it seems very likely he will get his playoffs shot. Wake can change a game by himself and we saw that vs the Jets two days ago. The bigger fools are the ones who didn't want to sign a 34 year old with an Achilles tear. Anyone who knows Cam had to know he would rebound and come back stronger than ever. He should be comeback player of the year, hands down. Stats show 10.5 sacks but if you take back how many he's had that were neglected by a penalty he would be at 15+. Let's give thus guy a January game!

It weren't me beeeyatch!:lol:Lol! I voted keep him and let him retire a Dolphin!

I love Wake, one of my favorite all time Dolphins! I would still take a 1st or 2nd for him.

I'd agree if we weren't relevant, but since we are headed in the right direction I'd beg him to stay in Miami..
Then again a big juicy 1st round pick from a Super Bowl contender wouldn't break my heart!

OK. Some people also wanted us to get rid of Ajayi after the first week. Some wanted him go in pre season. Some people wanted Gase gone after the 1-4 start. Some didn't want him to begin with. Some wanted VJ gone because he was "in over his head"....some wanted Parker gone too. Look man, we go on the game day thread and you will see a lot of posts be like.....**** this defense, **** this offense. That guy needs to be cut right now and on and on.....then we win the game and everyone's happy. Winning cures everything. NOBODY on this board is right 100% of the time. No such thing as a good/bad fan. We're all just fans and want the same thing which is to win. We just have different ideas as to what we need in order to win. If we beat Buffalo this week we're most likely in the playoffs. I'm totally happy about that and so should everyone else on this board.

Game day threads are frustrating and funny at the same time. The people that start new threads during the game almost always end up regretting it because it's usually something stupid.

Classic stuff. I've learned to chalk it up to extreme fits of passion. We all want to dominate from start to finish but I've learned that, this year at least, this team has been notorious for slow starts and strong finishes. Once the 1st quarter is done we seem to settle down and start playing better. It's inexplicable really. We still started slow with Matt Moore just like we have with Tannehill so it's not the QB on offense and our slow starts on defense don't help matters either and we never adjusted in the Baltimore game but as frustrated as I get, I kind of have to check myself sometimes and settle myself down, show some restraint and wait for this team to start playing football. Others clearly haven't been able to show that restraint.

It's all good though.
