As we all know, this may be the last year for Jason Ferguson, our NT that plays the most important role in the 3-4. We have to find his replacemant, and this may be the guy.

Vince Oghobaase

Very young, 21 years old. Big, mean NT that just loves contact. And he prides himself on stopping the run. Projected to go in the second round.

Tell me your opinions, and if you have better suggestions feel free to share them.
 
why dont we just put randy starks there when Ferguson Retires he is 6'3 305 pounds and he is only 24

Well, for one reason, he provides great versatility. he can play DE and NT and is a great player off the bench. Another thing is he's known for getting tired easily. Bringing him off the bench keeps him fresh.

But your right we might end up starting him anyway.
 
fergie wont retire this year. no way hes only 32 i believe. and we didnt trade a pick for a guy to play 1 yr.

no one is saying he is going to retire after this year we are saying after he does retire
 
Terrence Taylor. He's got the prototypical body for a 3-4 NT; low center of gravity and about 310 lbs. He's also very strong being a former state champion wrestler.

DT from Boston College B.J. Raji. The dude does not move. But all in all we need to get a few new players at the position, in the next few years. Iy probably will be a early pick for the next two years at least. In a 3/4 you can never have enough good NTs.
 
i was fixin to make this thread. we need to at least start combing out fergs replacement. i know we need more linebackers, secondary as well. but nosetackle is mandatory. we NEED it badly. fergie is a great nose. but my opinion is we need a bigger nose. i want my nosetackles to be at least 325 lbs. preferably 340-350 lbs. a young traylor would be great.

i watched the Alabama&Georgia game and that Terrence Cody is a beast....he was just absolutely unmovable in the middle,and he's in the 6'5'' to 6'6'' range in height i believe and he's like 360 lbs...he just might be a good NT in the NFL.
 
Either Taylor from Michigan this year or possibly Jeff Owens from Georgia next year. I wouldn't count out Randy Starks either, but like someone said earlier, I believe his best play is off the bench.
