  • The broadcast kept showing the same replay over and over (from above) and I thought it showed RB fumbling the ball....BUT
  • Was it just me or did they show a replay (once) from an angle at field level underneath that showed that RB might have been down...
  • Did anyone else notice this?

I thought his knee was down before the ball came loose. Should have been challenged!!

It was challenged by the officials as they all are in the last 2 minutes.... After review it was ruled a fumble.

It was a fumble.

It was within 2 minutes and it was reviewed. The ref actually said that the runner was still up when the ball came out. All of the Bills fans in my section were shocked. They showed the replay on the big screen and he looked like he was down. One Bills fan looked at me and said "the fix is in".

I thought at worst the ref should have claimed that the replay was not conclusive. It did not show he was still up. It may not have shown exactly when the ball came out.

I thought he was down. It looked like his knee hit, then the ball came out. But what are you going to do. The fins made to many stupid mistakes the whole game.

Did anyone see the replay I am talking about... they only showed it once... it was the best case for RB being called down.

It looked like a fumble to me too. It was a fumble. Had it been McGahee, you guys would call it a fumble. Call a spade a spade, and get over yourselves.

The ruling on the field was that it was a fumble. There was no conclusive evidence to overrule the call. After watching it several times, I agree with the call that it was infact a fumble.

The Randy penalty was garbage though. Of all the endzone shenanigans I have seen this year to call a taunting call in such a close game is absolute crap. Your tellin me the Steve Smith crap in our endzone wasnt taunting? If Mare had kicked from the 40...he could have booted it out of the endzone. They never would have moved the ball in fieldgoal range on us. NO WAY. We were totally kicking their buts all over the field at that time. On both sides of the ball. I coulda ripped the head off the official who made that F'n call. It still burns me.

Nope. If it had been an identical play for McGahee, I would be feeling that the Dolphins got lucky. It was not a fumble. I could understand the "evidence was inconclusive to overturn the call" argument except for the fact that when I watched the replay on NFL Primetime, and put it in slow motion myself, I saw his knee down and his hand still on the ball. Please tell me the referees have technology at least that good?

Hand on the ball..and being in control of the ball are two totally different things. The ball was coming out. No doubt it was a fumble.

Yup no doubt it was an awful call.

That is why I am not as down as some Dolphin fans. As far as I'm concerned we won that game.

DID ANYONE SEE THE REPLAY THAT IS THE BASIS OF THIS THREAD.....???????

Was it just me or did they show a replay (once) from an angle at field level underneath that showed that RB might have been down...
Did anyone else notice this?

yes they did show it and it was reviewed, but I disagree. THat should not have been a fumble. The ball was loose, but still against his body and in his grasp at the time his knee was down. similar to baseball a tie goes to the runner, in other words if the player is down at the exact moment the ball comes loose the player retains posession.

I will say it was VERY close, but he really was down.
