The Miami Herald is reporting that the Dolphins didn’t offer the Cleveland Browns any information on wide receiver Davone Bess’ behavior problems before they traded him to the Cleveland Browns last April.
“Less than one month before shipping Bess out, the Dolphins learned Bess’s family had him ‘Marchman Acted ‘so he could be evaluated and receive treatment for the emotional or psychological issues that seemed to be troubling him,” reports the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero. “While the Dolphins knew Bess was troubled, sources confirm they took a don’t-ask-don’t-tell approach on the matter when shopping and trading Bess.”

If the browns did their job they wouldn't have accepted the trade or altered it. Good job by Miami here. I find no issue with it.

I don't see an issue here. As sharp said, it was Cleveland's job to make sure Bess wasn't a nutcase. Their fault 100%.

Ya good move Miami to find a taker.. Bout time one worked out our way.. Maybe there's a team that doesn't know about Martins issues yet

I would agree, the Browns would have needed to do their due diligence on Bess, which I assume they did.

What I don't know, is what the NFL rules say you have to disclose or provide in way of information when a trade is being conducted.

and yet... some want to bring in farmer? doesn't this reflect poorly on him also?

So was it a big deal when Denver sent Marshall's crazy ass our way???? Nope he had to be in a Fins uniform to come out and say he was Bipolar. Nobody picked up pitchforks and torches then so why would they now.

Folks, so naive of you guys laughing it up that Miami got over on the Browns for essential exchanging picks in the draft. The next time Miami wants to make a move the other team will skeptical of the Fins motives. Operate in good faith.

I am shocked at how I am the polar opposite of fans here. Maybe I pay attention to how the great organizations of the NFL operate.

NFL is a cut throat business. B marshall got into trouble right before we traded him, had he been convicted, the bears would have been screwed because he was on his second strike at the time.

Teams nitpick every aspect of a draftpick they should do the same before trading a pick

Ireland is gone, we got a fresh clean slate when it comes to that aspect.
