New Dolphins owner Stephen M. Ross’ efforts to bring together South Florida’s sports and entertainment industries under the Dolphin logo continue Thursday when he hosts a press conference at Land Shark Stadium for what is being billed as a “major corporate announcement.”
As for what it could be, the best guess might be a themed restaurant inside the stadium. The Estefans own seven Cuban-themed restaurants that go by the name of Bongos Cuban Cafe, including three in Miami, one of which is in American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat. The Estefans also own two hotels.

Hah, I can see the jokes on PFT and other sites now. Rejuvenating the franchise by teaming up with...Jimmy Buffett and Gloria Estefan?

LOL, of course most national media have no clue what powerful consumer branding those two account for in local Florida markets.

It doesn't matter to me what Ross does for the stadium and gameday experience. He is letting Parcells run the football side of things and that is all we can ask for.

Ross is showing that he does in fact care about the Dolphins and South Florida and wants to improve things and is not just an owner who will sit back and do nothing. Obviously football is the most important thing, but no one here can be upset if some new restaurants open.

Yeah, this. As long as he doesn't mess up the product on the field, I'm cool with the naming of stadiums and resturants and whatever

I think I may actually be going to less games if I have to put up with Buffet AND Estefan's crap music

Thats just sad,
I know the whole thing about FL being full of older people but come on

Just like everything else in life, some will like this and some will hate it. It's the same for anything you can ever imagine.

The re-birth of the Miami Pound Machine?
Miami a** pound machine. People are attending a football game not an old folks concert. I respect the work of Estefan and Buffet but I might fall asleep in my seat if I have to listen to them throughout the game.

Parrot, I know you are living up to your name, but try coming up with something original? LOL

I do believe that the games will be the same. :)

But I don't want to be forced to listen to awful music at halftime and commercial breaks at dolphin stadium. It's bad enough having to listen to that fight song 10 times a game every year.

Nowhere does it say "Buffet and Estefan music will be played at all Dolphin home games".... it simply says that we are teaming up with them for their restaurants.... ways of making more money for the Dolphins franchise...

It says theirs an Estefan restaurant in the Miami Heat arena... do they play Estefan music? No... because its about the restaurant and making money
