It's just a rumor from Omar so take it or leave it.

I read some scouting reports and he's supposedly very athletic and can play multiple positions, WR/CB/KR and can cover kicks as well. Sounds like a Sparano kind of guy.

we can use all the help we can get . what about using Kory Sheets as the third down back and use Lex and Ricky in two back sets.

Omar says we "should" not we will... meaning Omar's source thinks the kid has skills, therefore hes worth a roster spot, and if we have one we should take him... not really a rumor of a potential signing...

much different than what your title says

I really would like to see us pick noone up and lets see what our young guys can do.
If we are really still in rebuild mode this year and we should be making a true run to be a contender sometime next year or the following. Then this year can be a great time to really evaluate our young talent and see if they have potential or if we need to keep churning our lower half of our roster.

I'm taking it differently then you I guess because I'm reading it that if Ronnie goes on IR then we should be signing him (as in thats the plan) unless something or someone else comes up. Omar has really good contacts within the organization so 9 out of 10 times he's pretty accurate from my experience.

Hopefully Ronnie comes back and all this is moot anyway.

Huh, why would you just leave an empty roster spot? You at least bring up a guy on our PS and replace him with a diamond in the rough kind of guy that could add depth later down the road. I'm sorry but roster spots are so valuable that they are NEVER just left open. If the NFL allowed them to carry 100 players every team in the league would still be full and looking for other possible players.

IF Ronnie is out for a while/season, I would like to see us go after Edgerrin James. Teach him Ricky's current role in the WC and move Ricky to Ronnie's spot. I think he could help us in that role and maybe some carries as a backup w/Lex Hilliard or in passing situations.

We need a #1 WR not another #3 or #4. Don't go signing another WR - how about giving Turner a chance finally! We need to develop another running back. We need to see if Hilliard has the potential. We could wind up having a draft need at RB and need to use a high pick with RB a FA and RW getting up there in age.

WR need is pretty clear - go get a #1!!

Kory and Sheets can handle the RB duties behind RW. If we think we need to bring in a WR Turner has to see the field. If they're going to bring anybody in I'd say make it an OL guy....

Yeah because there are #1 WR's on everyones practice squads just waiting to be scooped up.

I decided to youtube the guy....jack of all trades type. wr/rb/S.....looks impressive against some nobodies....dunno how it'll translate to the NFL....at least it looks like he catches the ball with his HANDS!!
