Money Is A Major Issue (M.I.A.M.I)
After coming within a 52-yard field goal of bringing Rutgers its first Big East title in school history, Greg Schiano has risen to the top of many schools' wish lists this holiday season. And it looks like Miami will be his first suitor.

Miami athletic director Paul Dee plans to discuss the Hurricanes' coaching vacancy with Schiano on Monday, the Newark Star-Ledger reported on its Web site Sunday night. Dee told Rutgers AD Bob Mulcahy on Sunday of his intention to contact Schiano, the newspaper reported, citing two sources who had been in contact with Mulcahy.

and the talking willllll begin soon :woot:

If he isnt interested in the least bit like people say then why even have the meeting? IMO he is probably a little confused

There is part of him that wants that big time job and National Championship he probably wont get at Rutgers, and another part that knows he is commited to those kids and could do something great with them.

IMO if Miami makes him the right offer money wise he really might come.

He has gotta be interested . . . w/ his recruiting ties down here and the known possiblity of resurrecting a program like Miami back into elite status . . is the perfect ingredient for making a future run on the next level. But even if the NFL is not a option . . . I just don't see Schiano winning a NC at Rutgers . . he can win won down here tho. I mean, its a harder job here . . . but a more satisfying one success wise.

Can't University of Miami look for someone else. Leave Rutgers alone. We are trying to build something here.

We need Shannon, not Schiano.

Look, Rutgers offered Schiano $2 mll a year the other day for 10 years.

Fact is Rutgers went 10-2 and ends up in the TEXAS BOWL on the NFL Network. Rutgers had a great year but it isn't a "name" program and never will be. They just aren't that type of school.

Schiano is gone. Whether it be Alabama or Miami......he's gone!!!

Just heard a press conference snippet with Schiano saying he's not a candidate for the job. He still says he's staying.
