Report: Oden to have tonsils removed later this week

The Portland Trail Blazers will shut down rookie center Greg Oden's summer league season after two games so the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft can have his tonsils removed, The Oregonian of Portland reported.

He didnt even have 2 good games, hopefully its jus gitters and he can come back doing good

Do you guys think it is a way to get him away from the pressure he has in camp? I mean, he has played like crap, and it seems this might be an excuss to do it now.

Don't overrate these summer league games. They are a chaotic mess....basically 5 on 5 pickup games. Noone runs set plays, noone plays any real team defense, and you are combining guys playing for a job with rookies who have multi million dollar guaranteed contracts.

It could just be because he has been doing bad but i think he will do just fine during the season
