There is no more speculation. It appears the Miami Dolphins are officially out of the Peyton Manning sweepstakes. Jeff Darlington of the NFL Network reports Manning personally called the Dolphins Thursday to let them know he will not take his talents to South Beach. This is no surprise, as Miami has been falling out of the running for at least a week. That leaves the Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals as the three remaining suitors for Manning. The Dolphins have now turned their attention to Plan B, which is former Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Matt Flynn. Miami will meet with Flynn after he finishes his visit with the Seattle Seahawks. Without Manning, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross failed to make the splash this offseason that he anticipated. Miami tried and failed to land veteran coach Jeff Fisher. Manning is the second big name to turn down the organization in recent months. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/39840/report-peyton-manning-told-dolphins-no

just saw this breaking on nfl network. manning is working out with the broncos today and has told the dolphins he is not playing in miami.

Yes, just read the Official word and I'm guessing the Broncos will sign him, which makes me think, why would Elway go back on his word about Tebow being the starter and why would Manning place himself in that position, unless Tebow is going to be used as a flanker/receiver and he will be groomed by Manning?

Well Manning better get used to a lot of abuse when he comes back to his condo in Miami. Let him go freeze his butt off in Denver. I hope he gets taken out in his first game with the Broncos.

My thought is that Peyton is one, maybe two blindside sacks away from being done.

THis is such a blessing in disguise - his guarantee money will hamper a team for many years and he is one shot away from not having productive post football life. I've seen many people with neck fusions and they are never the same. And the same goes for Jeff Fisher - a boring coach with a huge ego.

Let Philbun set this up the way he wants - for the first time I am excited about watching football again.

If we get Tebow because of this, I'm blowing something up.

I'm not gonna backtrack. If denver signs him, they may not be getting Peyton in his prime, but he's more than good enough to make them Superbowl contenders.

I'm curious as to whether he told the Cardinals as well....

This is one time we may have actually caught a break. I think Manning was kind to tell us and not use us in contract negotiations. Its going to be Denver vs Tennessee with AZ used and abused.
