According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, "no one in Miami is safe," including coach Joe Philbin and GM Jeff Ireland.
This should be self evident after the Dolphins choked away a certain playoff berth by losing to Thad Lewis and Geno Smith. Miami scored one touchdown over its final 25 possessions. In two years on the job, Philbin has been placid to the point of banal, while Ireland's "approach" remains as scattershot as ever. The duo's choice for offensive coordinator, Mike Sherman, calls plays seemingly at random. The Dolphins have a nice talent base, but a poor brain trust.

Stop messing around and cut them so you can move on, if not come out and say they are safe, if Ross hasn't made up his mind yet then he is a fool.....

Thanks that picture answered my question......

As high up the totem pole this can go without stripping the whole regime would be Sherman if either Philbin or Ireland are fired, I want everyone else gone.

Ross will dick around until he has one candidate to choose from and that will be that. He has the "lets stand around with a thumb up my ass while everyone else does something" attitude.

I wonder if his special council of TD, DM and JT are advising him that it is time to move on.

Eh. First of all, it's still Monday. Second of all, there are still a lot of assistants on playoff teams (JAY GRUDEN) we can't interview yet.

And third of all, Steve Ross has the biggest wallet of any owner who might need a new coach or GM. I assure you that a lot of agents are very interested to see what happens here. VERY interested. Because at the very least, we're going to drive up some prices.

ross needs to do something fast if he wants a good coach. the lions job just became available
