why ? Koa Misis is not a great linebacker to begin with, he's over paid like the rest of the bums they got rid of and always injured.

Koa Misi moved to middle linebacker last season and made 11 starts at the position for the Dolphins. Misi had 64 tackles and a sack in those appearances and Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports that head coach Joe Philbin said last week that “as of right now” Misi will remain at the position next season.

Defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle is reportedly on board with that, while the personnel department feels differently. Per Beasley, they’d like Kelvin Sheppard to get a shot in the middle while Misi returns to his previous spot on the outside of the defense. Misi started 26 games there in 2012 and 2013 and would likely remain on the first team on the strong side if he does move.

Misi is a good SOLB. Not a bum by any means

Misi in the middle is not a good fit. He needs to be moved back outside.

sheppard as a starter? god help us

64 tackles?? That's all, 64? For a middle linebacker in the NFL. Man get his ass outta there!

He did only play 11 games and was limited in several others....

Misi is weak, we need an upgrade in the middle, hopefully an enforcer. Nobody is scared of the guy, offensive players are licking their chops when they see Koa in the middle and thats bad.

I said from the start of the offseason that the team needs to upgrade at MLB, but if they can't he might have to go back there again.

Misi is miscast at MLB much like Jordan as a 4-3 outside backer. Misi is a solid OLB nothing special but he gets the job done

Our run D was much, much better when Misi was healthy.
He's far from perfect, but he's solid at MLB, and will be better playing in front of Suh. We have bigger needs.
