Has anyone ever done this? I was pretty dead set on just selling my Wallace jersey on ebay, but honestly who is going to buy that crap? But since Parker is going to wear #11 I figured maybe I could just go online and find a website to create a name plate.

I found this site: http://www.thenamechanger.com/home.html

But I'm unsure of it, the quality, how the colors will look, etc.. (their "team color chart" is concerning for home jerseys they call the main color "seafoam green" which sounds okay, but say the closest they have is green, teal, or shimmer. And for away the name's color is teal, but the closest the have is powder blue... how can they have teal for one part but not the other?)

So has anyone done anything like this before, used this site or another one? Thanks for any help in advance! :)

Sadly I was gifted a Ted Ginn jersey when he was drafted (sad gift I know) and it was eventually turned into a Brandon Marshall jersey (I give up on number 19 like the rest of this fan base). I used a different site when I did it and it looked pretty good but the color was slightly off but not noticable. I don't know how it will look on the new jerseys since I did it on the old one so the colors are different. I would recommend if you have any sports shops in your town try going to them to re-do the jersey for you (one that does high school jerseys maybe, I worked at a shop and we did that occasionally). They may offer more colors and choices for you.

Thanks for the input man. I'll try to look around, I'm not sure of any local places that would do it but do you know the site you used by any chance?

i just put tape over the name and never wear it outside of the my house

I could be wrong but I believe it was http://www.easternlettering.net/ I don't remember it being as expensive as advertised on this site so I may have used a different one. It's been a couple of years.

im not really a jersey person myself.... i only buy a jersey when there is a player that was extremely meaningful to me throughout the years. Dan Marino!!! definitely have his!!!

The guy that wore 13 before him wasn't bad either.

Take it to LIDS Locker Room, and see if they can hook you up. You may have to take a seam ripper to remove the current lettering yourself, though.

If it has stitched lettering you might be able to take it to a taylor or seemstress and see if they can remove only the letters and replace them with Parker.

Though youre a letter short and that might play a factor in it

I've never bought a players jersey, even with Marino. With today's NFL, even in Dan's time, you just never know when that player will be gone. And I'm not one of those ppl that think, oh look someone is wearing a Marino jersey, that's cool. I feel the opposite, actually.

I was gifted a Jake Long jersey by my in laws, I knew right then and there he wasn't long for the Miami Dolphins. It's kind of a jinx thing with me now. If I like a player I feel I'll jinx em if I get a jersey with their name on it. I've also promised myself if someone gifts me a jersey of with a players name on it, I'm giving it back!

Haven't figured a way to re-purpose Jake's jersey yet. I won't wear it and it hangs up in the closet.

I won a Brandon Marshall #19 Aqua jersey at a halftime raffle, which i wouldn't mind repurposing, if we can get a decent player with a # 19 again. The Dolphins seem to have a yearly sale at SunLife stadium where they sell game worn jerseys, pants, cleats and I also have seen nameplates of guys who were cut or no longer with the team. It would probably be best to take it to a seamstress. I am sure they can match up pretty much any colors, kind of like the way they do it at paint shops. I took an old jersey to a seamstress to repair a rip in one. The only retired player jerseys I have worn is a Marino and a Zach Thomas.

I sold mine on Ebay the after he quit on us and got full price. WINNING
