With Clay making huge strides this year as a receiving TE, and Egnew coming on as blocking TE, does Miami resign Keller? He will be 30 next year and coming off a lost season due to injury. I think he would make a great addition with Clay, but I am unsure of what his salary demands would be. He was guaranteed 3.25 million this year.

:ponder:

Does anyone know how his recovery is going? If he is going to be alright for next year, resign him. We'll be able to get him back for less $$ and he should have a chip on his shoulder after how he went out this year. Hell, even prior to his injury he was tearing it up in preseason. He was blossoming into Tannehill's security target. Chances are, unless we draft a 1st round TE, we are not going to be able to draft the big fast freakish TE we all want. Bringing back Keller will allow us to use those picks on OL and our other holes. I'd be very happy at TE with Clay + Keller in 2014.

as far as free agency is concerned, here are your options at TE:

Dustin Keller
Jermichael Finley
Greg Olsen
Fred Davis (possibly resigned, I could be wrong)
Ed Dickson (possibly resigned)

...bring back Keller

If he's healthy, you definitely re-sign him. Having two playmaking TEs is a huge plus for any offense. Huge if though.

again guys, he pretty much tore everything there is to tear in that knee. He may not even be able to play again

Wow..

Hope I'm wrong but Keller's career is done.

His knee was basically held in place by skin. Tore everything in his knee. Even if he does come back likely wont be until 2015 season.

Sign him if he is healthy for sure. He is the seam threat we need.

He'll probably need two years to recover, like Willis Mcgahee did after tearing everything in his knee. And even then, he may never be back 100%.

Greg Olsen and Clay would be sweet.
