Solai doesn't count against the cap, he's a FA. We need to restructure a few contracts and cut some contracts to have any chance at a couple impact FA's.

Restructuring Long's contract is another way of saying extend him. You're restructuring your cap hit.

And whoever said letting Soliai walk will have us up to $20,000,000 misunderstands the number. As of RIGHT NOW, we have $9,000,000. That's without Soliai. That's without Langford. That's with everyone who is a free agent UNSIGNED

Letting Soliai walk away WILL leave us at $20 million under the cap. What dont you people undrstand arithmetic ? If you re-sign Soilia at $8 million a year that would then leave us with $12 million under the caps. Re-signing any of our FA players counts against the cap no matter what way you want to spin it.

And restructuring Long's contract is not another way of saying extension. They are completely different things. "Restructuring" is redistributing the money out over the length of an existing contract, whil an extension adds length to an already existing contract.

Not sure where you get your infor from, but you have been misinformed. As of RIGHT NOW we are over $13 million under the cap. We can cut Bell to save $6 million. We are also allowed to borrow $3 million against future caps if need be. We are in great shape with the cap.

Sorry if you felt insulted, but it was a generalized comment and not directed at you. I dont think its any worse than some of the people here saying "your numbers are wrong" without providing any tangible evidence.
