With Baker the leading PR in NFLE and Newson the leading KR in NFLE - Dolphins’ Baker And Newson Emerge As NFLEL’s Top Returners Charlies Rodgers s/b in for a run for his money to beat one or both of them out. I
Baker and Newson will join Charlie Rogers, who was signed this offseason as an unrestricted free agent from Buffalo, in the battle for the return duties. In his four NFL seasons, Rogers has returned three punts or kickoffs for touchdowns, including a kickoff last year with the Bills. As a rookie with Seattle in 1999, he led the NFL with a 14.5-yard average on punt returns, the first of two straight seasons in which he attained the 14.0-yard barrier.

He didn't. But he just had a 91 yard punt return that skewed his punt return stats pretty good. At least Newson's kick return average has pretty much always been at the top of the Euro league this year, even before he broke open a big one or two.

He was averaging like 28 yards per return back when his longest return was like 35 yards.

because Baker didn't see many opportunities as returner.Actually Baker has better kick returning avg. than Newsom and probably has better punt return avg after 91-yard punt return.
