Just received an email from the Fins saying that the site will be ready on Staurday. ...

Thursday, July 27, 2006 - As part of the team’s ongoing commitment to offer an enhanced experience, both on and off the field, the Miami Dolphins are unveiling the first wave in a major redesign of the team’s Web site on Saturday, July 29, which also marks the opening of Dolphins Training Camp. Dol-Fans will be able to watch live, streaming video of the team’s first practice when the Dolphins hit the field that morning. Throughout camp and the regular season, there will be daily practice highlights as well as interviews with Head Coach Nick Saban and players.

Dol-Fans who visit www.miamidolphins.com will immediately notice the easier navigation and cleaner, more modern look to the home page. The site will feature more graphics and pictures, streaming video player (in Windows Media Player format), interactive game schedule, RSS Feeds, Podcasts, the latest Flash technology and a centralized user login system that will allow Dol-Fans to personally customize the site to their preferences. In coming weeks, the Dolphins will introduce a cheerleaders page, Dol-Fan Club and Home Team Challenge Fantasy Football Game with weekly prizes during the regular season.

“The Web site redesign is based on fan feedback and our commitment to offering our fans the best online experience possible and to give them access to up-to-the-minute news, interviews, features, and multi-media presentations exclusively on MiamiDolphins.comâ€Â, said Bryan Wiedmeier, President of the Miami Dolphins.

Dol-Fans should visit the current MiamiDolphins.com site before Saturday to make sure their computer is equipped with the latest software needed to fully access the re-designed site. To check if the computer is equipped, please click on the “Are You Ready?†banner featuring Dolphins linebacker Zach Thomas on the top of the home page.

The Miami Dolphins launched MiamiDolphins.com in 1996 and was one of the first NFL teams to manage its own Web site. Approximately 300,000 individual fans visit the site each month, consistently ranking it among the upper quartile of NFL team sites. The Web site redesign is being managed by Power Images, one of the premier production and graphic design companies in South Florida.

So our of towners can now view mini camp LIVE!!!!!
