Revisit: Quinn Ewers Gruden's QB Camp

Just based on what we have seen so far, and his college performance I do not see a legit NFL starter.

I hope I am wrong but he is going to show significant improvement in some areas that I am not confident he can improve.

Otherwise we are likely waiting until next years early 1st rounder for the next guy.
Be patient. He need at leased 15games before u can judge him. The right way. If u want bring in another qb to compete that find.

Seriously though if he doesn’t show all of us he’s putting g in a serious qb training g regime all offseason he can go piss off to with dopey boy

He gets that once change from me to get his **** together cause it’s obvious he’s a party boy in college and doesn’t go the extra mile taking care of his body.

He better of started this process as soon as he got drafted, I didn’t go to camp this year so I don’t get a good look

I have not written the kid off, I was not a fan of his coming out(or at Texas for that matter)and have no confidence that he will develop into anything more than a solid backup.

I do not see the physical tools for him to ever shock the world and become a legit winning starter in the NFL.

You could have said the same about Mr irrelevant number 262 when SF took a shot on him

Purdy was a better college QB than Ewers, he was drafted where he was due to his lack of measurables.

It is not that surprising that Purdy made it in the NFL only how well he has done. Some of that credit goes to him landing in a great spot in SF. Had Purdy been thrown into the fire on a crappy team with bad coaching and no OL he probably would already be on the scrap heap.

But you might as well bring up Brady if you want to compare late round QB's to the rare success stories.

Hell John Randle is in the Hall Of Fame so any undrafted DE should be given a couple of years to prove he isn't a superstar I guess.

Acting like Ewers is some scrub with bad measurables is disingenuous at best.

Acting like he was a seventh round talent is just bring dishonest.

We should have no problem winning 12 games with him next year.

3I lower than ewers. And then of course there was Kurt Warner who was bagging groceries in Iowa. Did I mention Tony Romo? The bottom line is it's a crap shoot and 2 years ago ewers was slated to go somewhere in the early to middle of the first round. You don't regress that much without extenuating circumstances like injuries.

Really smart. It’s why I think he will be so good. Lots of great QBs weren’t freak athletes with cannon arms, but used their smarts to win games. Brady and Brees are two examples. Ewers is extremely smart with a high football IQ.

Everything I'd seen coming out of HS and through college, the kid always had very good arm talent. He's just not much of an athlete, unfortunately. Not even Brock Purdy athletic.
