i missed the 1st half on sunday and watched the 2nd half at bar with no sound, so this was my first chance to see most of the game and hear the commentary. couple observations:

-our drive at end of the 1st half was enormous, and 1 of the biggest plays of the game was the 3rd and 10 completion to matthews. pats just scored, they have all the momentum, we dont convert there and go 3 and out and brady has about a minute left and decent field position to make it 13-0 or 17-0. huge momentum turning play.

-tannehill was throwing absolute darts in the 2nd half and hitting everyone in stride. without a doubt his 2nd half performance was the closest we've seen to marino since marino.

-simms was 100% certain we were gonna punt on the 4th and 5 on our last drive and disagreed with us going for it. i was surprised at that, if you give the ball back to brady there youre probably not getting it back. if we make any kind of a playoff run this year im gonna go back to that 4th and 5 as the turning point. sherman said that was a total team effort on that play. great adjustment by tannehill, great catch and run by clay, great blocking. anyone makes a mistake on that play and we dont convert.

-matthews again, he made 2 huge and very difficult catches. that sideline catch on the last drive gets overlooked by the 4th and 5 but damn what a catch! i wanna see him more involved down the stretch, that guy can make plays.

another thing i forgot. after the pats kicked the field goal to make it 17-13, we went 3 and out on our next drive. on 3rd down tannehill threw a quick out that got batted down, and thank god it got batted down cuz 2 pats players jumped the route and it could have been a pick 6 if it didnt get batted down.

That was one of those plays where you're like "WTF are you doing?!" when its happening then immediately transitioning to "whatta sound, smart, logical decision!" right after

I asked this in the GDT but it got lost in the sauce. Did anyone notice that towards the end of the game when we got flagged for too many men. When they were showing the replay they had a graphic counting all the defensive personnel on the field and as it went "1, 2, 3, 4, 5" the "5" turned into a "6" therefore adding an extra player. Would just like confirmation that this did actually happen and that im not just a looney conspiracy theorist

I didn't see that when I caught the replay and wasn't able to count at the game.

That whole game was a summary of our team. It seemed almost every play somebody steeped up and played out of their level. Tannehill was the steak all game, but each play somebody else became the sizzle. I love teams that have that mentality. Hard to break that will.
