On what the run defense needs to shore up after a poor showing against the Saints last week) – "Miami's the number one rushing offense in football and they've earned that, that's for sure, they get after it pretty good. You have to give New Orleans credit, they were able to move the ball on us. I think they were the better team that day. We don't like it, and we've got to try to get ready to match up against a more physical team, probably the most physical team we've faced all year. We're very excited about the challenge, we think we'll be the most physical team that they've faced all year, so this is going to be one of those classic football games."

(On his propensity to blitz at the end of games and why it is getting so much press) – "I'm like you, I don't understand it [the attention]. We just play defense, and whether we're bringing the pressure, whether we're laying back, there's time to do both. We blitz quite a bit but I don't think we're reckless with how we blitz, and when we blitz, and why we blitz."

(On how he feels about his pass rush this season overall) – "I think if you're just looking at stats, you'd say that: 'man, we cannot even come close to the quarterback, we've been very poor,' and I hope that's the way Miami feels, and all that kind of stuff. I think that if you count hits and pressures and how many times we've disrupted the quarterback, we're probably amongst the league leaders. I think the quarterback rating against us is probably the last, the worst in the league. So sometimes it's not about sacks, sometimes you can have a lot of sacks and still not get consistent pressure on the quarterback. I think we're just the opposite. And I'll be excited to get our number one pass rusher back."

(On his confident talk and the way his team has followed suit) – "I'm confident in our football team. I think we have a physical football team and I think we have an outstanding football team. There's no reason not to be confident, and I think we're a very confident team."

...he also said were the most physical team theyve faced....I can live with that and I def agree they will be the most physical team well have played thus far
 
The Jets won't be physical when they are worn down from the latter part of the 3rd quarter onwards.

Big fat Jenkins will be taking himself out because he won't be able to breathe. As will other players on that team.

LOL...they must have some good stuff down there. You carved up the Colts who run D is horrible and you still lost. You ran on the Bills...sorry if Im not impressed.

Ask Saints fans about this D. They were all discrediting our D before last weeks game as well. Now its nothing but respect.

The Saints ran for over 150 yards on your defense.. Your defense has given up 280 rushing yards over the past 2 games.

And the Colts run defense would be ranked top 5 if they didn't play us.. In their other games they have only given up 64 yards on average.. Against Miami, they gave up 240.

End of story.
 
I'm not going to discredit the Jets D, it's damn good. But it was top5 last season as well until Jenkins went down....

But to say that the Colts run D is horrible is using stats that according to most of your jets borthern isn't accurate....you do realize you're only ranked 2 spots above the Colts run D right? And those are skewed in your favor considering we put 240 yards on them....

You can't have it both ways, either the stats and rankings mean nothing or they prove your run D isn't that great....

Yes they ran for 150...how many points...10. I'll give you the 150 and the 10. Wont be enough. Your D isnt as good as the Saints. Not one guy in your secondary could hold Sharpers jock.

If you put up more than 14...tops...I'll be shocked.

The Saints got a better D, 14 points of turnovers maybe the Fins D can do it too Sanchez made it look easy. I can't understand you just had your a$$ handed to you and act like nothing happen, yeah I know you beat the 0/4 Titans< Bills 1/3.
 
I can tell you 1 thing....the jets run D is nothing like that of Baltimore....reguardless of who those guys have played they havn't given up 100 yards on the ground in 37 games!!! The jets run D may be better than the stats show, but it is not on the level with the leagues elite.

We may not have a Sharper....but I'm sure you watched those passes he picked....it's not like he had to make an amazing play to get the ball....Sanchez felt pressure and threw it into double coverage....

Sanchez has thrown a pick in every game except 1 thus far....it's not out of the realm of possibility to think he will do it again.

Hardly...even with the turnovers and points for the Saints D we were in the game to nearly the end. You guys wont win this game...your only hope is Sanchez loses it. You should pray for that.

Well then you'll be shocked.

And all because your D gave up 10 doesn't mean that your D played lockdown all over the field.. Because the Saints were able to drive the ball through that game.. Sure, you had a goal line stand, but don't forget that the Saints did drive the ball to the one yard line in the first place.

And as a result, the Saints got 7 points out of it anyway because of the field position by their offense.

That's football.

And of course, you gave up 17 points at home in NY to the Titans.. Who ran for about 130 yards on you.. I'll take Miami's O-line anyday over tennessee's..

The titans O-line has had trouble all year in blocking.. Miami's blocking has looked much better. And yet Tennessee was moving your guys off the ball as I watched the game.. You only got lucky in that game because their returner had two fumbles.. And it is very rare for a team to get 2 special teams turnovers.. Mouton gave you the game.

You should have lost to a team that's 0-4. They outplayed you.
