I think our O line is coming along with good youth. I think Shelton or DMac, James, Hadnot, and Carey are a good young core group of guys. However please don't tell me McKinney is seriously being considered for RG. I could see him being a backup because he can play center as well but to start? I heard we are talking with Bennie Anderson who just got cut with Buffalo. Now he was a beast before but I heard he can be a headcase. I see a major hole at RG still. Anyone hear anything about someone stepping up there?

It depends...if hadnot wins the center spot then i really see one of the tackles being converted to guard, or even possibly having Joe Toledo take up the spot...all in all i'm not that worried about it as we have the talent to fill the gap....

I'm not sure how McKinney will work out at RG, but I'm happy he's no longer playing at Center. OG B. Anderson is huge, and he's a mauler, but he's know to be lazy and would need some serious conditioning in my opinion. He could get that down here in Miami during training camp, but he'd have to dedicate himself more than he has in the past in order to make a difference....

Right now, I'm going to give McKinney a chance. Until he proves he can't handle the position, he deserves a chance. He's smallish, but he has a strong motor. Maybe Houck can turn him into a solid OG for us....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I find this whole situation a little puzzling. It was my take last year that the combination of McKinney at C and Hadnot at RG was better than Hadnot at C and McKinney at RG, even though Hadnot may not have been at his best position. In other words, I thought that even though Hadnot may have been a better center, McKinney was a much worse guard so collectively they were better with McKinney at C and Hadnot at RG.

• Word is the Dolphins are pleased with the move of Rex Hadnot to center (he's more vocal and physical than Seth McKinney) but want to find competition for McKinney at right guard. On Tuesday, they had a visit and are working on a contract with Bennie Anderson, who was cut by Buffalo last week after starting 15 games last season. . . . Free agent defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson's agent said Tuesday his client likes Miami, and negotiations continue.

The Dolphins are concerned about the RG position which is why they are scouring the cut lists to add depth there.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but how is 310 smallish? Alan Faneca, Steve Hutchinson and Mike Wahle all went to the Pro Bowl at about that size. Seth is not a good as these players but he does have that mentality. If the experiment with him at RG pans out then who knows.

Actually Seth played verywell at LG when he was drafted and I believe he can do the job at RG. Also remember they are working J. Toledo at rg as well.

One day, hopefully sooner than later, an opposing LB will see a pulling Joe Toledo comming right at him and say, "Oh sh**, this is gonna leave a mark!"

I like the Bennie signing as he was very tough with the Ravens. I think Houck will have to earn his keep with this spot. The Jills were a mess so maybe that was part of the problem. If Mularkey didn't like him he wouldn't be siging here. It would be nice to be able to dominate a bit up front for once instead of having to have quick pass plays to accomodate a weak line. I'd also like to see Ronnie be able to get into the LB's and secondary untouched.

I really dont have a use for McKinney other than backup anything. It seems to me he has no push at all. His value is in being able to "sort of' back up multiple positions.

Anderson will atleast provide great depth. wE may not have the best O-line, but we have alot of depth. Think, Pearson, Mcintosh, Pape, Toledo, B.Anderson, Wade Smith, Berger. 4 of them have been starters in this league. We really needed depth along the interior line, and now we got it.
