Ricardo Allen: "Coaches told us exactly what they were going to run."

Hell, most weeks I can tell you.....

We are going to run Ajayi
We are going to throw at least 4 bubble screens a game
On third down, we will throw about 2-3 yards short of the sticks
We like to punt a lot

See, it is actually pretty easy.

What they know is that we are trying to limit the qb exposure. Whole league knows it
I agree, yet we did dial up some passes in obvious rushing situations during pivotal 3rd and 4th downs...

Doubt the ATL coaches drew up that Damien Williams, PA, Flat leak. Or the Landry TD for that matter.

So maybe they drew up the running game? Don't they know our 2 TE set inside zone game is relatively newer for us?

Sounds like a sore loser to me Hoops, IMO.

Edit - Typo.

Many, many Dolphin fans could draw it up for you too! Gase is very predictable, though some here will come say it's just sour grapes by a losing team.

I'm saying though, it isn't like we scored 20 points in the first half, they adjusted and then shut us out in the 2nd half.

He is up here gloating about the plays in advance and yet they couldn't stop the "worst" offense in the NFL from putting up 20 points in the 2nd half.

Forget sour grapes, it sounds like utter incompetence from a team that has quite the track record of giving up sizeable leads in the 2nd half.

It's funny because they based their defensive plays based on us being so predictable, and we weren't as predictable as we we've been in the 2nd half. That's why you always adjust play calling based on the game and never pre script it, they reverted to a script while we strayed from our usual script. That's why the game was a tale of two halves, in the first ours was more predictable and their was more adjusted, in the 2nd half ours was more adjusted and theirs was more predictable. Aggression and adaptation mean so much in the nfl, all about trying to win, staying one step ahead and keeping the opponents off balance, that's what makes great defenses or offenses.

The reality is that most plays are known. That doesn't just go for us, it goes for every team. It's just that those few wrinkles that the coaches throw in are the ones that stand a chance to catch a defense unprepared. Like Landry's switchback to his original side on the motion ... somebody blew an assignment because that was a new wrinkle.

Are we predictable? Sure. But if I'm worrying about that, I'm a LOT more worried about the head-bob of our center ... because every team in the NFL knows that's the signal just before we hike the ball. Of all the crappy stuff to keep from the Philbin era ... no idea why we kept that.
