Vontae Davis is not in a contract year. He is in the 4th year of a five year contract he signed in 2009.

Dude this is total and 100% BS. This is a typical "trying to make headlines" story. I was at the scrimmage today and Vontae was the starting corner and was on the field like 90% of the time. He did move to the slot possition a few times to cover the slot WR and marshall played the outside but at no point did Marshall "take " the spot from him. Vontae will be the starter day one, i would bet my house on it. Not everything you read is true people.
 
Maybe it's because Richard Marshall sounds 10 times smarter than Vontae when he is being interviewed. Vontae sounds like a total ass hat when he's talking.
 
Still say we should have drafted Hakiem Nicks over Vontea!

This I think that Davis handles the slot assignments better than Marshall.
 
davis will be the starter. marshall needs playing time at corner in case one of the starters gets hurt. Smith cant afford to sit as he needs all the reps he can get.
