I didn't catch the entire segment, but I heard Spielman on ESPN radio bashing Harrington for wanting to come to Miami. He said no player should ever be able to completely control trade negotiations like Joey is and that he is basically dumb for wanting to come here. He said with Dilfer gone in Cleveland that he should go there because he has no future in Miami with Culpepper on the team. Just passing on info of what the second most hated man of the previous regime said.

For once in his life, he's right. Why couldn't he have gotten this wrong, and Lamar Gordon right?

I wasnt too crazy about the Harrington signing but now I am sure its the right thing to do.Thanks Rick.

well I know we all hate Spielman, but the guy is actually right!!! You really think Harrington has any type of future whatsoever in Miami with C-pep here??? In Cleveland Yes, he could resurect his career

**** your complaining about Gordon? What about Fletcher & Howard & Feeley??? :tantrum:

Atleast those days...and players are behind us now.

Spielman is a hack. Harrington knows he needs to get his game turned around, and figures Saban is the man to help him...why shouldn't he be able to choose where he wants to play...

Yes, but those guys were Wanny acquisitions. I'm just glad that whole miserable regime is behind us. Now, if we could just do the same with my alma mater's basketball coach.

F*** Spielman. Harrington is making a good smart decision. He knows the Dolphins are a top notch, first class organization that is on the rise. and he knows that Pep will not be ready to start the season. and even if he does start, there is alway a chance he will be injured again. He understand he is coming in to be a backup. and in this league, you need two experienced QB's that are ready to play when called on. I know that has cost us a playoff spot, when Lucas had to take over for Jay. you have to have two QB. he is making the right choice coming to Miami. plus the women and weather are alot hotter here, than they are in clevland.:cooldude:

hey if harrington wants to come here then it is none of spielman's business. Why is he even getting involved. He should just mind his own business and focus on his own problems.

Harrington isnt thinking Miami because he will get to sit on the bench his entire career. It is because he knows Culpepper is dealing with an injury giving him a window of oppertunity. Even if Culpepper starts game 1, the threat of injury is still there - even moreso for mobile quarterbacks. As a Dolphin fan, I like the idea of adding depth to QB, and it seems Harrington and Saban both know how important depth at quarterback can be in the NFL if you want to compete.

Charlie Frye is the QB there, thats why they got rid of Dilfer, Harrington has no more future in Cleveland than he has here, in fact he might even start the season here, making this a better place

:sidelol: Yep Rick. Thx alot. We now know that Harrington will be just fine down in Miami.

its simple. They allowed him to look for a team to trade with, and he found one. Spielman can bite it.
