this game clearly showcased ricky and i felt that there was a lot of plays called for marty to showcase him as well... anyone think this was because they will be traded this offseason?

id want to keep marty, but did we show them off to the league to trade them?

NO! :shakeno:

and williams getting 25+ carries for two consecutive games is suspicious as well. Considering we all know full well that ricky DOES NOT want to carry the load on this team, im worried about what that could mean.
With ronnie brown on this team there was no need for ricky to carry it that extra 5-7 times. so to assume they wanted to show what ricky could do isn't a far off statement.

guys im not saying lets trade them, relax... this thread isn't about do you want to trade them or not, jesus you guys are so damn sensitive...

im saying didn't it seem we showcased them, i mean ronnie was healthy enough to play, yet ricky still got the majority of the catches, and i saw a lot of balls going marty's way...

You guys really think that's how Saban coaches games?

Saban: let's see, I'm going to throw to Booker because I want to show him off for potential trade partners. It's not that the QB is going to go through his progressions and throw to the receiver that's most open. No, it's to showcase Booker.

Huizenga: Good plan, Nick.

Saban: And I'm going to give Ricky a lot of carries to showcase him too to potential trade partners. Not because Ronnie has a high ankle sprain, which takes months to heal sometimes, but because I want to showcase him.

Huizenga: Good plan, Nick.

Saban: Oh, and by the way Wayne, we're gonna try to win the game today too.

Huizenga: Good plan, Nick.

I completely agree with you on Ricky.

however, Booker may have just simply because they were more concerned with chambers at this point. (i know if i was Mangini i would have told my secondary to worry about chris, and not marty)

i love nick. But this is a coach who almost got caught admitting that winning doesn't matter right now...to answer you're question, yes to some extent i believe that's what happened.

damn whats up your *** today? rough new years?

you know teams have plays for certain players... passing plays for chambers or mcmike or marty... now maybe, just maybe they ran a few more marty plays this week because they are going to try to trade him this offseason... it could happen...

and ronnie was obviously healthy enough to play, he did get a few carries, if the injury was the concern he wouldn't have gotten any carries... but still ricky got most of them...

if you dont agree, then dont agree, dont be an *** about it...

Ronnie was gimpy. Didn't you notice him limping after his carries? If indeed Nick was showcasing Ricky, it was to put teams on notice as to what's in store for them next year.

Possible, but I doubt it. Ronnie wasn't 100%... so no start for him and just a little playing time.

Chambers was covered most of the time, so booker and welker got more throws.

Ha Ha, if you were a member of the Miami Dolphins football team this year and that's what you deduced from those words, then come next trainning camp you would most likely be kicking horse turds down the road while everyone else was practicing football. Some...don't get IT.
