Williams predicts a much better season than 1-15 for the Dolphins this year and says the team will win "at least nine games." Then he adds, in his own playful manner, "I'm not the quarterback. I can say that."

He also says he and Brown plan to each run for more than 1,000 yards in 2008, a feat that has been accomplished just three times in the NFL, most recently in 1985 when Earnest Byner and Kevin Mack did it for Cleveland.

"My initial response is that pisses me off," said Williams, who hopes to play for four more years. "I think it's accurate. Things that are true piss you off the most. People think if you are a pro athlete, that's the only thing you can do. Life is not about maximizing my athletic ability as much as it is maximizing my evolution and growth as a human being."

Ricky predicts 9 wins, a double 1,000 yard backfield, and 4 more years!

I have not been a big fan of Ricky ever since he left the Dolphins (the 1st time). Now he does sound like a more mature and responsible person but I still find it very hard to trust him. Hopefully all of the above predictions come true.

Ricky isn't playing with a full deck, but I don't remember Ricky ever being a liar. If he saying that he really believes it. It's good to see some confidence in a player.

If they both get 1000 yards then we will win 9 games for sure.

I doubt it will happen but would be happy to be wrong

I really like this part of the interview:

"Parcells has called Williams "a street baller." Parcells noticed during offseason camps that the running back really competed on 18 of 25 plays and said he wants Williams to run with that edge on 18 of 18 plays rather than play 25. The limited workload might prolong Williams' career."

Street baller...that's cool, Ricky does run like a street baller...it's like when he gets the ball he instantly scans for the weak spot in the D and instantly attacks it at full speed.

Csonka/Morris were the first teammates to rush for 1,000 yds in the same season in `72. Williams/Brown the latest to do it in `08. How awesome would that be! If they both stay healthy they could accomplish it.

Street Baller means to me that he wants to run everyone over. But whatever, I know he used to love to run over NE. Thanks for the link

His post football career has NFL analyst/commentator written all over it. A network will offer a deal that wipes those college units off the map.

I just love too watch him run OVER linebackers. Maybe we can surprise a few people. No one expects anything from this 1-15 team.

If both RB's rush for 1,000 yards that means great things for this team. However, I think the QB will have to make a few plays for that to happen. I think it's a distinct possibility for the running game to struggle out of the gates, until we make a few plays in the passing game (a la 2005).

RW has over 7000 career rushing yards. If he plays 4 more seasons, he could eclipse 10,000 yards, which starts to approach HOF numbers. If he didn't miss all of those seasons, he would probably be there now and most likely a lock for the HOF

i have the feeling that Ricky see's a lot of promise in that O line and he understandes that he and Ronnie both have prospered behind a bad o line, but given a better 1 we could steal some games by the ground.

Ricky just wants to grow as a person instead of living the life of a sheep and he's accused of not being all there mentally? ha
