The Dolphins could be without RB Ricky Williams (shoulder) this Sunday when they take on the Steelers.

After fully practicing one day early in the week, Williams was limited for the second consecutive day Friday, leaving his status for the game as questionable. Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said he feels comfortable with second-year RB Lex Hilliard and his ability to handle a heavier load if he’s called upon to do so.

The Steelers, meanwhile, listed S Troy Polamalu (knee) as questionable after he was limited in practice all week. Polamalu missed the previous six games because of his injury.

The Steelers (8-7) and Dolphins (7-8) both need to win this game, then receive help, to make the playoffs.

I'm guessing either way this means Sheets will be activated. I want to see what his kind of skillset (scat back, basically) brings to this offense.

I'm totally ok with this. I'd like to see Hilliard and Sheets get the reps.

No sense hurting Ricky even more. We are not going any where and we need to see how some of the younger guys play tomorrow.

I personally would like to see Sheets but i guess theres no harm in seeing how Hilliard can handle the load

i would like that to see sheets more which would mean if sheets is activated hes playing for a roster spot for next year.

this will showcase lex and maybe be a trade bait for us to have if he plays well.

of course sheets is going to be active if ricky isnt we need more then 1 RB

i was actually pretty surprised with how Lex was catching the ball last week, the only thing that i dont understand is when he gets hit its like someone takes his legs out from underneath him. Lex is a hard runner tho. I like the way he fights for extra yards.

I hope he does sit... If we do play him i see him messing up his shoulder even more.... didn't he have a season ending injury his first game back in 07 and to make it worst was is not Pitt and was it not his shoulder :ponder:? No i say sit him and get ready this off season to be the starter again if Ronnie has another short season.

I hope he does NOT sit, and I don't think he will. He was limited this week, but I think he will be a go tomorrow. Won't play as much and won't get as many carries, but I do think he suits up and goes. Lex and possibly Sheets will be more involved though.

I know. I'm saying Sheets will probably be active even if Ricky is playing.
oh ok yea i agree he probably will be active even if ricky is active and he should be just in case ricky goes down again
