this one has been done but not in this way..
look at both backs strengths and weaknesses ..

ronnie has good hands and good speed but likes to dance in the hole
and has been hurt often.

ricky has good hands off the screen..good speed..we have had drama with ricky but he's over his b.s now..ne way..ricky does'nt
dance he plows str8 ahead or bounces it to the outside...
ricky has'nt been hurt but not half as often...

ok age..
ronnie is young.
ricky.. older but remember his time off..

awareness
ronnie-average
ricky -above average

natural abilty
ronnie- average
ricky- elite

breaking tackles
ronnie-above average
ricky-elite

when you weigh the case what do you think??

I think you start Ricky until Ronnie proves he is fully healthy. The thumb injury makes things worse, but it's his knee i'm worried about. I don't want him being rushed back into playing, in the first game of the season only to end up blowing out his knee once more. Having Ricky Williams if his mindset is on football and he's in shape playing well is an incredible luxury. One we must take advantage of until Ronnie is ready for sure.

well i think you are leaning towards ricky

it doesnt matter who starts for me as long as they both get playing time and beast it up

We'll have to see if Ricky still has those abilities though. You're talking about a 31 year old RB 4 years out of football really. I wouldn't just assume he's going to step right back in and be the Ricky who could handle almost 400 carries for 1400-1800 yards here.

Ricky was born to play this game physically.
Too bad the mental part wasn't.

Ricky hands down is better than Ronnie.

I'd say the reason you want to keep Ronnie healthy is not just because Ronnie has great potential and has shown flashes of being an all-pro back himself. But also you need a guy who can take the load off of Ricky, assuming he's not ready to carry the full workload himself.

Based on the way he's looked this summer, I'd gotta say Ricky on this one. Let's just hope this can be a two-headed beast this season between he and Ronnie!!

Ricky hands down

Ronnie is in mid season form, he's injured....

ok i hate how everyone is jumpin on the ricky bandwagon.. i mean yeah he is doin well so start him.. but thats only because ronnie isnt up to full form yet.. he is recovering from a acl tear, that takes time.. but if u wanna compare the 2 when ronnie is healthy, ronnie wins by a mile (even when ricky is playin as good as he is)... has everyone forgotten what ronnie did with a horrid o-line last year? the only real knock on ronnie is he is injury prone (pretty big knock) but still a healthy ronnie is way better than ricky.. and by the way.. natural ability? whats that? like physically? cuz ronnie is way above average man.. go back and check his combine results.. thats why he was drafted so high.. and breaking tackles? just above average?.. need i run back the oakland game last year? you might need to re-check your comparisons

I agree, ronnie is hands down better than ricky. I still dont trusy ricky williams, no matter how good he does. I hope we let him walk after this season.

As for who will start, i think ricky williams only because ronnie brown has to recover. i think ronnie will start near week 6 or 7.
