it was about ronnie ahead of schedule but will not participate in preseason games and that the dolphins brass are happy to have ricky williams, not like the previous regime. it will be like 2005 all over again

I haven’t seen the First Take yet but I set the DVR to record it. As far as I am concerned I am so happy the new regime has accepted Rickey Williams with open arms because I love the guy. And given he has pretty much taken the last 3 years off of football he is as healthy as he was during his rushing title season.

But let’s be honest about the new regime accepting Rickey with open arms. They pretty much didn’t have a choice in the matter. I mean they get his services for almost no money and given the injury to Ronnie Brown no one knew and still don’t know if he will come back as good as he was running early last season so Dolphins brass while they are welcoming Williams to the team they are only doing so because they pretty much had no choice in the matter.

I love Rickey Williams and believe as coach Ditka did that he could have been the best ever if he only had kept his head on straight. After all of Rickey's stupid mistakes and idiotic attitude I still love the guy and hope selfishly he can have one or two more good seasons.

Bottom line is Rickey Would have been let go from almost any other team in the league but the Dolphins dont really have the luxary of turning anyone away right now.

Well I guess we will see what we will see and hope for the best.

Hate to be a jerk, but its Ricky.

It seems like the happier they are to have him, the more likely it is he flakes out and ends up suspended or retired.

But, I will say this. If he's back and he plays the whole year, between Ricky being up to 236 pounds again and Ronnie being his normal weight, there's going to be a lot of bruised defenders on Monday. Both are extremely physical players. Defenses won't get a break when Miami goes to the third runner on the depth chart, either...because that will either be Jalen Parmele or Lex Hilliard and both are 230 pounds themselves.

I just have a gut feeling that Ricky is going to be a bruiser this year. I know a lot of people think he's washed up, but I don't think he would be on our roster if he was, much less a Bill Parcells roster. For the record: Come Back Player of the Year.

i don't think he's washed up,and i certainly don't think Parcells would keep him if he was washed up,but we'll see how he does, and if he keeps Bills faith in him strong or if he lets him down. i myself hopes he gets back to his 2002 form when we first got him.
