Ricky usually stays pretty quiet so I found it funny that he said this! I love it!!! Taken from the Miami Herald.....
''Once you get on the field, you can sense it in the crowd,'' Williams said. ``When you play down here against the Jets, there's always so many Jets fans.
``It's an honor to shut them up.''

Thats awesome!!! He's definately fired up for this game.

Remember when he replied to Lewis's smack talking in 2002 or 2003. He ended up takin Lewis out of the game. Ill never forget that.

Let Ricky talk. If he can stay healthy he will be shutting a lot of teams up this season.

Good, I don't think it's disrepect to the Jets, just their fans. I don't see anything wrong with speaking with confidence. It would be a different story if Ricky said "we'll win cause the Jets are talentless", but what he said is not a direct shot at the Jets, just their fans. I obviously hope he's right.

You talkin bout Ray,Ray? Which game?

I love it! Man i remember in the pro bowl when he ran LaVar Arrington over...that was soo sweet

Yeah, the Baltimore game back in 02. Ray Lewis was talking smack about ricky williams saying Ricky wasnt going to do anything and he would make sure Ricky would have a bad game and Ricky's going to be running ito walls and blah blah blah. He talked SO MUCH junk about Ricky. Ricky came back and only said something like, we'll see on Sunday" or something humble along those lines. I remember 1 play where Ricky ran right over Ray like he wasnt even there and took him out of the game for a few plays. We ended up winning 26-7.

Ricky had 26 attempts for 102 yards and 2 TD's

I'd prefer less talking and more running, but, whatever.

It's a game, take it easy. If the players want to have a little fun and talk smack, let them.

I'm so pissed about the NFL rule on excessive celebration. Yea, if all they called it for was 'excessive' celebration, then fine. I see too many refs call it for almost nothing though and it's crap.

It's sad when even the fans start to look down on it too. What, we can talk smack to our friends and celebrate, but the players need to just shut up and play? that's a little hypocritical. Let the players have fun, there actually a part of the game.

No wonder people call it the No Fun League. Even fans criticize players for having a little fun anymore!!

Run Ricky Run!

Just watch the CFL.. they have no restrictions on celebrations and personally I think the players look like idiots.

I remember an incident similar to that John L Williams rookie season with the Seahawks. (John L, is a friend from my town so I followed him his entire career) For those who don't remember John L, he was a very punishing pro bowl fullback for the Seahawks and Steelers. Anyway in John L's rookie season against the Raiders, Howie Long was going to introduce John L to the NFL. John L, eventually got the opportunity to carry the ball and Howie squared off to lay a devastating hit on John L. Howie was hit so hard by John L, that it knocked him out. Once Howie was revived, he stood up, took a bow to the Raider faithful and immediately collapsed again. One of the funniest things I've ever seen on NFL game day. Howie was running his mouth about how he going to introduce John L to the NFL and got his clock cleaned.

Agreed! Some of the corners in the CFL are a joke. They get burned time and time again then they make one play and it's like they just won the Grey Cup! Drives me nuts.

I always liked the saying " when you get in the endzone pretend like you've been there a million times."

I think it's far better when a guy just hands the ball to the ref.
