Ricky, the comeback player of the year?

well its not like this is an award with much competition involved.

Ricky coming back from quitting on the team and a drug suspension -vs- Ted bruschi coming back from a stroke.

Can't see too many voters going past the feel good story of the year to vote for Ricky.

Bruschi didn't miss last season. What about Steve Smith?

Yea all though I don't like the man, it should go to Steve Smith, he's been having a tremendous year.

That's interesting, check out this article (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9797708/)
JT the Brick writes,

"Miami Dolphins: Nick Saban got his team to play hard every game and must decide which players to cut and who to keep in 2006. Ricky Williams looks like his career is over, and the Dolphins should try to trade up and get USC quarterback Matt Leinart in the first round of the draft."

What a moron!

wouldnt that be sweet for ricky to get comeback player oy and ronnie to get roty

I doubt he will get it just because of the stigma.. I dont think the NFL wants to be associated with rewarding a guy who quit, for what most people believe, were for reasons to indulge in narcotics..

yes i hope so! we need to win throughout and take the east though! I still believe!

you kidding me??, i think it easily goes to steeve smith with ricky finnishing second because he is playing now, if it wasnt for steeve smith ricky would have it in the bag...

steve smith and joey galloway both have ricky beat for CBPOTY.... in fact i don't know why Ricky would even get a nomination.... ? he has over 4 yards per carry but may not have 500 yards when all is said and done... how does that qualify for comeback player of the year?

usually for that award they give it to people who never left but just sucked for awhile.

my bet is either steve smith or joey galloway get it.
