Rick Spelman was just discussing (on ESPN) the possibilities of Ricky Williams possibly playing for the Toronto Argonauts this year.....not sure if it is just a rumor or not as this point. Interesting.

Not really a rumor. Toronto added him to their lists of free agents that they can deal with exclusively. So right now, no other CFL team can touch Ricky Williams.
 
They said Ricky could only play for a CFL team with the Dolphin's permission...I wonder if the NFL also would have to sign off on this?

The Dolphins would have to sign a wavier and Nick said he is not sure if they will do that.:wink:

ya heard the same thing...i think that would be the best move for ricky and for the phins to letem play. only thing that would worry me would be a serious injury.. but at least he would stay in football shape and keep his mind off the herb
 
It would be great to have him play over the suspension then rather do nothing.

They said something about how Ricky might like to play for the Argonaut's coach. Sorry, I did not catch the coach's name or why specifically this coach was mentioned. Maybe someone else got this info?
 
Toronto is a cool town, and with the dollar as crappy as it is, the CFL has never paid more! I hope Ricky is allowed to go and make himself some money this year.
 
i reported this a week ago when he was first added to the negotiation list...and of course some dufus held up a "link" sign when it was on the radio...

from what ive heard...its all up to saban right now...saban is debating having a sharp ricky for 2007 or expose him to injury...so hes doing his homework...


i just hope he does, cause the argos train at the same place i do, which means i can totally hit up ricky everyday...
 
actually the canadian dollar is almost equivilant to the US dollar as we speak...
