When we got to the airport after the game,
another player stood up and brought the team together. What
he said was so true and appropriate. He brought up the fact
that every great team has a defining point where they make
up their minds that the are going to be great. They take a
stand to put the past and the BS behind them, agree to do
whatever it takes, and then do it. Let's hope Sunday night
was our defining moment. I think it was.

Ricky's the man! But time for talk is over, I want action!

Meaning from the team of course, Ricky is still playing at a high level.

Rickys articles get me pumped but after gameday, they make me wonder.

I wish ricky were more vocal with this team, I think he is very emotional and could truly motivate this team

I am continuously impressed with his attitude... I agree with Chubby though, it's a shame he isn't more vocal and outgoing... he'd do well as an emotional catalyst to give some spark to this team... maybe in time, he will be....

DO you think he will get into the same mold that happen in NO where he has to be the saviour of the team?

he already is....we brought him to get our running game goin and we run alot...so you know although its covered up thats we he is....and Ricky is a great RB...greatest RB available...im glad we got him but the damn OLINE needs to ****ing block!

Also Ricky wont be a leader for another 2 to 3 yrs and wont speak becuz hes a newcomer and hes not gonna be thought of as a leader

No way, are you kidding? Wanny himself has already called Rick a leader. He is already seen as one. What needs to happen is Wanny needs to stand up and give a speech like Al Pacino did on Any Given Sunday. He needs to show that intensity and get this team that hyped up. If we played with some emotion, we would be darn hard to beat......

Wanny Doesnt impress me as a motivator, he is great at gelling a team and killing problems in the locker room. But As a Motivator we would be better off with Homer Simpson Drunk?

Is that the problem that these players need somebody to fire them up, I thought they were pros and could fire themselves up for the game.

There are only so many things a coach can say before the players start tuning him out. Have you never heard the comments about master motivator basketball coach Riley?? That's why motivational speakers are bought in to talk to the players. Bottom line is who wants to win more. Forget about blaming others.

The motivation problem runs all the way throught the coaching staff as that was Norv's biggest problem as well. We really need someone who's arrogant to come in and give our boys a kick in the pants.
