I don't think that RW is a problem at all. I also think that he can handle 20 carries/game w/no problem at all. The problem is that he's getting 25+ carries/game, and it's needless.
The problem also is that everyone in America knows that MIAMI wants to be a power rushing team. And it's been by necessity, because until recently, MIAMI's passing attack has been mediocre at its best. Throw in the loss of COBBS and RB, and PENNY, and we see everyone crowding the l/o/s bigtime.
But a lot can change, Dolfans: A LOT!
First of all, HENNE will NOT be a "glorified Rookie" forever: he's already showing signs.
Secondly, the WR corps gets better and better. HARTLINE, i/m/o, is pure gold, with deep pass capability as well as the hands and moves of a "possession WR". BESS is developing into the consummate "possession WR", and CAMARILLO looks like he has recovered from his injury. And did anyone notice the game GINN had today? That long bomb from HENNE was beautiful. It's ashame that POLITE tripped a rusher who had no chance at getting there: the "trip" itself was very minor, and looked accidental, but technically, it was a trip. And GINN had a couple of other catches. But what I was impressed with today was timing and chemistry. Timing between a QB and a WR takes time to develop, and that mysterious ingredient called "chemistry" takes even longer. But today, IT WAS THERE, all over the place, and I loved it!
HENNE will only get better, and he won't be a Rookie much longer. And that GINN TD that was taken away had to have impact. And it's this: DCs everywhere will look at how EASY a TD it could have been, and think "maybe we better not crowd the los w/our Ss".
MIAMI didn't benefit from any of this stuff this season. But NEXT YEAR? If COBBS and RB make it back, and MIAMI somehow gets a topshelf TE, FS and ILB, then just maybe...!
