I'm very new around here, but I grew up a Dolphin fan down in North Lauderdale, and went to most of their home games from age 8 to 18 until I went to college. I live up here in Jacksonville now, but stay true to my roots. I have been searching the internet to get some offseason news/ rumors on the Dolphins, and other than talk about Ricky going to Denver, I want to know if anyone out there has anything else? I am excited about Saban, about how we closed the season, and I even bought into the 2 running back system (not at first). Now, are we keeping a 2 RB system, are we looking for a new QB, personnally, I think we should beef up the O-line and DB's, keep 2 RB's, and pick up a QB if a good deal presents itself. But hell, what do I know? Any opinions or rumors out there? Should we keep Ricky? How do we get to the Superbowl next year (in Miami I believe)?
Thanks,

As of right now Saban is mentioning how he likes Ricky alot. There is speculation he might consider making Ricky the featured back.

This could be for 1 of 2 reasons.

1) Saban is not stupid he realizes at this time, unlike some fans, that as of "RIGHT NOW" Ricky is the better back. That is not talking future. That is right now. Ronnie definitely has the talent and potential to if not be better be equal.

2) Saban is simply getting the word out how good and valuable he thinks Ricky is so teams don't waste his time offering 3rd and 4ths for him. I wouldn't be surprised to see Saban not trade Ricky for less then a 1st unless multiple picks are offered with one being a 2nd. I don't se ehim doing a conditional trade either.

As for the QB situation. Saban is leading us to believe he likes Cutler and will make a play for him. Who knows, Saban is good with themind games.

I am expecting him to go DB in the 1st and QB in the 2nd unless Cutler is there at 16.

Welcome MC83! I'm a big MC5 fan, so you are not far off. What you say makes sense, just see what falls in our lap. We will need to be heavily persuaded before allowing Ricky to leave. I think the free-agency this year will be a mess with the current bargaining situation so we should keep the team intact and restructure for the future; then draft well. We know we can win with what we have.

Welcome. I want Nick to keep Ricky and play him however he sees fit. I would love to see what Houck could do with a few more studs on the OL.
