It seems to me, from all the reports I've read in the newspapers and football websites, that Parcells has really taken a liking to Ricky Williams. While I don't think he will supplant Ronnie Brown for the starting spot, I think it will shift into a good split, maybe 60-40, of the carries. I wouldn't be surprised to see RW used in a similar role as Marion Barber, getting more carries as the game goes on, since he'll have fresh legs.

Then again, it could be a 50-50 split, with Parmele getting carries later on, pounding the defenses when they are tired.

In any case, it looks like we are going to run, run run, pass, run, run, run...

When you consider the POTENTIAL Ricky brings at the league minimum salary you'd have to be an idiot not to be intrigued!

Yep, the guys a cheap indentured servant and I'd ride him till the wheels come off....
...well,hopefully Ricky keeps on the right track he's on and can give us another season or 2 of good running.

I dont think that Ronnie Brown will be fully 100% at the begining of the season. While he will be running, I do not believe that he will have regained his latteral cutting ability or power until at least the half way point of the season. So I think that it is going to be Ricky that will be the primary runner in the first half of the season.

Teams will be aware of the two headed running game and their first objective will be to stop the run. Having a weak WR corp is going to bite this team in the butt.

You beat me to it. Ricky will need to be the horse early until Ronnie gets his confidance back in his knee. Frankly I can't wait, These 2 guys running behind this line. WOW. :d-day:

Unless a couple of them decide to have breakout seasons....with new and improved protection this is a very good possibility IMO

not to mention a revamped o-line that just got more help at guard!

You can win big without all star Wr's..... Not choosing a Future QB and sticking with him would bite this team in the butt. No doubt our strength will be the running game and teams will key on that.... but remember the threat Ted Ginn poses whenever he's on the field....
bring that SS into the box and maybe leave your #2 cb 1 on 1 with Ted Ginn. Our Wr Core isnt weak, it just lacks depth.

100% agreed i don't want to rush him back either now that we have ricky a proven back we have no need to rush him back we will need him in the second half playoff runn.....:woot::hi5:

yo man, ricky's off the charts this year. ronnie will be off the hook too, our running game should be tight.

If CBs want to stop Ted Ginn, all they have to do is just jam him. He's just that little. Derek Hagan is inconsistent. He'll show up in one game and then disappear in the next.

If we ever needed a WR to step up there is no better time than in camp this coming year. We NEED someone like Hagan to be a dependable number 2. If Hagan does not make the impact he needs to make this year then he may never be more than what we have seen so far.
