Has anyone else notices these:

1.I cringe when I see ricky taking the snaps sometimes the snaps are too high and he needs to jump for the ball(It will go over his head 1 day)

2. Since his arms are so big the ball is more prone to pop out.

thats someting we can work on they do seem to come high to him sometimes i dont think its a huge concern as long as we recgonize it

Wow, at least I know I'm not alone in thinking that has disaster written all over it.

Share the wealth and let Ricky enjoy the Cat as well IMO. Ricky is a great player and he deserves whatever role the team can give him. Don't worry about him running the football and catching a shot gun hike -- he can do it fellas.

i did see that but you know maybe the reason to that is that ricky prob doesnt get as many snaps in practice as ronnie does and grove probably is not confortable with him i say get him more snaps in practice and theyll get it down ronnie cant be in there all the time you need to give him some rest time thats the only reason why ricky comes in

I don't worry about R&R in the least bit. Ricky doesn't snap the ball, btw. Also, with Cobbs out we can see more of what we got in Hilliard maybe.

Ronnie handles the ball with more intelligence than Ricky. Ricky just gets the ball and he points it and goes......Ronnie has always caught crap for dancing before the hole, but in the WC it really seems to fit this behavior because it gives itme for the blocks to develop.
Ricky was not made to make decisions, he is made to run like hell. Ronnie shows he can make decisions on the fly.

Not as nervous as I am when Pat White lines up and takes any snaps. For some reason, when he's in there I just visualize an interception. I'm not saying anything about him being a bust or not having a place in the offense... I'm just saying I mess myself with fear when we bring him in.

I have said this before: I was at the UCONN vs. West Virginia game last year, and Pat White ran what is close enough to be called the wildcat almost every play. He was so dominant. He was a man amongst boys out there. He was so much faster than everyone on UCONN's defense. (And don't just say it was only UCONN. They had two defensive players drafted in the top 50 picks this year.)
Anyways, my point is I would much rather have him take the extra Wildcat snaps instead of Ricky. I guess we can get him to throw the ball consistently eventually, but not quite yet. Obviously I would have had a heart attack if he actually threw the ball last night, but in less extreme situations, like in the second half of the season when we should have some blowouts, I would like to see this get worked in.

I agree with this... the Wildcat definitely fits Brown's style a bit better.

I also noticed that Ricky catches the snap with his body... Ronnie with his hands. That shows to me how comfortable Ronnie is with taking the snaps.

I'm not a fan of Ricky taking the direct snap ONLY because Ronnie does it so much better. Every so often is ok...but I wouldnt make a habit of it. Ronnie runs it to perfection...let him handle it.
