I am not providing Rick any excuses. However, in my humble opinion, I think it is evident that the Saban's predecessor ( I just do not want to mention his name ever again) ran Ricky into the ground with 800 carries in two years and guys don't forget all the preseason hitting that they were doing during training camp.

Saban will keep Ricky fresh, and the results are clear. Ricky has taken a year off and gratefully he looks rejuvenated, and happy.

We have all worked for someone, that in the back of our heads we knew that individual was completely stupid and incompetent. Sabans predecessor is that person. Rick should have made his decision earlier to not come back. But damn, we have all admitted that Sabans predecessor was one of the worst coaches/ talent evaluators in NFL history and we did not have to get hit/tackled an NFL high 800+ times by NFL linebackers & defensive lineman because of it.

Rick is playing for a quality NFL coach, and his comeback is a result of what happens when you mix a great athlete (Ricky Williams) with a great mind/coach like Saban.

By the way the phins are not going to trade Ricky, he is too cost effective and a great player. Sorry to disappoint some phinatics that are calling for it, maybe last years regime would be that irresponsible but the new regime is different.

I agree, why would you trade a player who obviously has incredible skills that your paying close to nothing?

I welcome Ricky if he runs hard and doesn not give up on the team again. I also can see that any coach who has Ricky and Ronnie knows that he will not run ricky into the ground. This could be a good combination. It is all about Ricky's mindset. He is a gifted dude. I think his natural ability is better than most. We are still waiting to see what Brown can do for us. Trade Ricky? probably not this year. Probably next season.

i like gordons ability but he is just way too injury prone to keep around. i say keep morris and let travis minor and lamar gordon go.only upside for minor is return ability(back-up)to welker

Gordon has more problems than being injury prone. He's a great athlete who is big and fast, but he is an indecisive runner that doesn't gain many yards after contact. He also is an easy target due to his upright running style, and there isn't much wiggle to his game.

He looks great and the dolphins better not trade him....who would they trade him for, he's still young, fresh and right now is all the running game we got!!!!!!!
