over and over again i read from some of you that Ricky is going to be traded... and many think that we can get a second round pick for him.

neither is true....

Ricky has absolutely lost his heart. He has quit and checked out.
this last off season he realized that he could not afford to quit and so he is here.
When i watch ricky play he is out there having fun and doestn seem to care if he wins or not. Its just my observation but what i see is that Brown is such a cool guy that he and ricky have realy become team mates. Often you will see them yucking it up on the sidelines if one or the other just had a good series.

I honestly think that ricky only tries hard because he is having his own little competition with Brown.

did anyone see ricky after the fumble this week on the sideline. He caught some criticism from some of the vets.... and i dont think i have seen a more desperatly sad face comming from any football player... at that moment i swear it seemed ricky hated himself.
I cought myself thinking i hope they dont have a gun on the sidelines.. cause ricky is going to off himself.

were am i going with all of this. you might ask

ricky is playing hard for the dolphins... he wont play hard anywere else.
he makes vet minimum + doesnt have to give back 8mil to us.

in this league players dont get picked up if there is a suspicion that they might have the slightest blemish...

NO ONE IS GOING TO GIVE US ANYTHING FOR RICKY WILLIAMS EVEN IF WE PUT HIM OUT THERE.

we only play him because he is currently willing to try... the moment that stops... the moment the fun stops... he sits.

Ricky wont go...

Trade value is maybe a 4th rnd pick
1 drug test from a year long supension
Doesnt want to be the feature back of any team.
He's weird; Vegeterian, yoga, Holistic healer- How many FB players are like that
He's happy and Were happy- He splits carries, helps Brown acclimate, extends both of their careers...

I agree but only because their isn't a team out there which needs a RB bad, Ricky is a good player I just hate that he takes carries away from Brown

we can only be better having both, in this age of football you need two good backs, dave w, ran ricky outta of the nfl, running him dam near 1000 times in 2 yrs that's crazy, the weed just pushed him further out the door, he was getting killed, the dolphis in some games weren't even trying to pass the ball, run ricky 1 and 2 downs and throw on 3rd,

I don't know, the Eagles really need a RB but after the T.O. debacle, I don't think they'll go after another head case. A straight up trade would be nice though...but probably never happen.

excellent point.. good runningbacks are a dime a doz right now... and more comming out in this draft... i dont think that there is a team desperate enough to get ricky... when there are just so many other options that sure things.

They have a guy named Westbrook and I hear he's not bad.

they have a good RB in Ryan Moats who is only a rookie, I knew it was just a matter of time before he broke loose and last weekend he had 114 yards and 2 TDs on only 11 carries. they have their back

i like ricky the person and the football player.

id hang out with him because i find some of the things he talks about insightful. i think he should work on bulking up just a bit in the offseason for next year, and i want him to retire as a miami dolphin.

I think what you guys tend to miss is

Ricky isnt a huge risk for another team, due to his salary

sure they may lose a draft pick, but ricky might be worth that

Although I do agree Ricky and Ronnie seem to be having a lot of fun together

hey i would love to hang out with the man... and i agree with you.. but i find that ricky is no longer a football player.. hes just a guy who plays football.

i think that there is a very delicat ballance that is keeping the man trying on the field.
if brown wasnt cool
if saban wasnt a good mentor
if the offensive coaching staff wasnt great
if the team was loosing all its games
if the players were down
if he had to cary the load
if the fans bood him
if the weather wasnt always nice in florida
if the price of pot went up....

he'd sure as hell pull his mangina and collect his check from the bench.

I think that saying that Ricky has quit and has lost his heart couldn't be farther from the truth. Yes, he may have his reasons for playing, but I see a runningback out there trying his best and working his butt off.

I didn't see Ricky catching crap for that fumble, but I did see the shot of him on the sidelines...he looked genuinely pissed...more pissed than I've ever seen him. I also saw another player come by and pat him on the shoulder pads.

You are correct about the trade value though....I can't imagine any team giving up anything more than a fifth or sixth rounder for him at this point. It does hurt both Ricky and Ronnie that they have to share carries, which in turn hurts Ricky's trade value.

Finally,to be honest, I'm not that much of a fan of the 2 RB approach....it never allows a runningback to get into the flow of the game.

giving up a draft pick is a risk

I said its a risk

but to a team its probally a risk worth taking especially if your going to use that pick on a RB, when you can get ricky far cheaper

Ricky hasn't lost heart. Maybe he doesn't desire to play as much as he used to, but he still gives good effort on the field. why would you not want ricky on the team because it reduces ronnies carries? Are you crazy? do you remember Eddie GEorge and countless other overused backs that were driven into the ground like a workhorse.
