So what are we going to do here? We can't roll w this guy for the rest of the year. What are our options?

Idk if I'm right but I feel like he played a good game with the exception of a few plays? I could be wrong though

I know it was Mario Williams but he looked lost against him. Perhaps I just focused on the sacks and he did well otherwise. I don't know. Just very concerning.

I was going to say this, I expected something extremely ugly and found myself looking more to the rightside more then the left on every play...Yes he did get beaten more then you would hope from your R-tackle, but Super Mario will do that to thr best of them.

In practice I am sure they will be allowing some competition, but the man called Dallas will be given a chance I believe...hopefully Wake will get him ready in this extended week to prepare, because I don't Think Garner is the answer against the Broncos.

Considering he was against Mario Williams I thought Thomas was alright

He did much better than I expected. All-pro? Of course not. But for taking over the starting right tackle spot on a short week against one of the best pass rushers in the league, I'm not sure how anybody expected better than how he performed. Hell, most expected far worse.

Small note: one of those Williams sacks isn't on him. He lined up way outside beyond Clay and the offense did absolutely nothing to pick him up until it was way too late.

Garner or Fox. Thomas is a guard and only an average one at that. He is a terrible tackle. Problem is that Philbin is stubborn and will force the issue by keeping him there.

Considering he was facing a top 5 DE in the NFL on his first REAL NFL start, I thought Thomas did ok.

Yes, he got destroyed on some plays, bad. But, not sure he did as bad as we all expected?

:idk:

I agree. It was bad but not disastrous. We're going to face a lot of tough d-lines on the run-in and we're just going to have to work with what we have.

I still can't understand how it is that Seantrel Henderson has Cam Wake's number - it just goes to show that certain players match up badly/well against certain others. Thomas could equally well have a very respectable outing against Denver as have a train-wreck, based on the individual matchup.

He was pretty bad. Is not going to get easier either. He might develop in time but he's going to cost is a game at some point.
